Our Vision and Values Flying Monkeys will strive to be known as an authentic company that always adds originality to the evolving “beerscape” of Canadian craft brewing. We Will Be Authentic, Original, and Innovative We'll brew the kind of beers that we enjoy and would spend our hard-earned dollars on. Our beers will support a broad spectrum of customers, not just the beer geeks like us. We will always challenge the industry standard and "the way everyone else does it." We will go forth as Beer Disciples always preaching the gospel of local, craft beers and "teach by example" by ordering our own beer and other craft beers when we go out. But Seriously, How Will We Do These Things? We will learn something new (preferably something beer-related) every day. We will be innovative in our decision-making and not let our ideas be limited to the obvious. We will evolve with our jobs to make our work more personal and our dealings more human. We will embrace change as a way of life and welcome our constantly moving world. We will do our best to come to work every day on time and ready to go even when we have worked late the day before. We will enjoy the fact that we'll never have the same day twice. We will acknowledge that the craft beer industry is a beautiful yet demanding mistress but demanding hard work. We Will Make the Brewery a Good Place to Come to Work Every Morning (and some nights and weekends…) We will make choices that create positive energy flow at the brewery. We will use teamwork, open communication, and shared information so everyone feels "in-the-loop" knowing the actions of one affect the futures of many. We'll respect that "Flying Monkeys!" is plural. There are more than one. We'll really think about our decisions. We will help everyone. Help willingly. Help with a smile on your face and a song in your heart. We will work to reform the karmic disasters of Energy Vampires! If we make a mess in the brewery...we'll just clean it up. We Will Respect Our Shareholders We will treat our stakeholders with respect, and provide them with increasing value for their commitment. We will let them have the good parking spots. We Will "Pay it Forward." We will be a good neighbour in our community. We'll work to change our impact on the environment without just green-washing our faults. We'll support special causes that touch our Brewery, employees, and communities. We will respect the social responsibilities inherent in our industry. We'll behave ourselves out there.
