Update: Tried cask version and it was much more enjoyable and flavourful. Extremely smooth mouthfeel and no bitterness from the hopped up version they had at Arrow and Loon. Give it a 7 for Cask version. Pours a huge foamy white head but goes away fairly quick. Has a pale yellowish/golden appearance. Pretty decent lacing. Aromas of light malts and grains with some wheats as well. Flavours are actually fairly bland. Some grainy malts with notes of mild citrus hops and very faint floral hops and wheats. Light bodied mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Not bad and easy to drink but a bit disappointing coming from Flying Monkeys.

This is a decent light beer. It's a medium golden beer with a thin head. The aroma and flavour are dominated by grassy tones, but there are a few florally hoppish hints.

This light Canadian beer pours a pale yellow colour that is slightly unfiltered and has a small white head that has not much to show for (weak retention and lacing). Very lightly carbonated. The smell though is quite nice for a light brew. Not typical with some bread malt aroma. The mouthfeel is not as watery as I would of expected. Again, the malt shows up in the taste, with some biscuit flavoured malts. So, light beer yes, but above average in this category and accomplishing what they wanted... a micro made for lawn-mowing.

Can: Poured a pale yellow lager with a pure white medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma is mostly dominated by some very bland malt but no adjunct could be detected. Taste is also dominated by some weak malt with no much else discernable. I kind of understand what they are aiming for but some kind of taste profile would probably have been enjoy more by their customer target segment.

Bottle from LCBO. Poured a light straw color with a decent white cap that didn’t hang around long..weak lacing on the glass. Nice grainy-biscuit dough aroma (very pronounced) bit of sweetness and straw ,little else...one dimensional aroma. Two dimensional taste with pale malts outpacing the thin northern brewer hops...light fast finish light biscuit aftertaste. Not a bad all natural brew and well made...approachable, fresh tasting, malty but uninspired and 2 dimensional....I’d buy this if it was a buk-a-beer brew but at this price there are better more inspired micro ales.

It's not bad, especially for a light beer, but you don't want to pour this into a glass - strictly sample from the bottle. That's where the aroma rating comes from. It does have flavour; doesn't taste light, but that doesn't mean it's all that great. Taste wise it reminds me of a export style ale, or even of this brewer's Confederation Ale.
