View Allagash James Bean
Chopz reviewed the beer Allagash James Bean
Bottle from the brewery, bottled on 02/07/18. Now with cold-brewed coffee from Speckled Ax. Slightly unfiltered (getting hazy in the last pours), golden-orange colour with a light beige frothy head, decent retention and lots of thick creamy lacing. The smell of coffee is nicely blended with the warmth of the alcohol, caramel malts and bourbon notes. The taste has less coffee, but the alcohol warms up with the bourbon showing more. Not as sweet on the tongue, which makes this one a nice warming winter Tripel - which is just what I need today. Well done !

View Fix Hellas
PaleAleRider reviewed the beer Fix Hellas
330ml bottle from SAQ. Pours a small bubbly white head but doesn't stay very long and has a clear straw coloured appearance. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas of grains and mild wheat, a little bit grassy. Flavours are mostly grainy and cereal malts, a little bit sweet and slight bitter finish. Dry mouthfeel. Pretty average overall.

View Treehorn Dry Cider
Cybercat reviewed the beer Treehorn Dry Cider
Pours hazy golden, no head but this is a cider. Aroma presents a strong note of freshly cut apples straight from the orchard. Flavor continues the theme of the aroma, filling the mouth with country apples. Mouthfeel features robust body and good fizz. One of the best hard ciders I’ve ever had.

Pours wan yellow, typical for a cider. Aroma presents sweet peach and crisp apple, a bit of distinction. Flavor yields crisp, tart, apple and sweet peach. Texture offers firm body, good for a cider, and peppy fizz. A peach of a cider.

Pours translucent mahogany with a thick tan head. Aroma delivers bourbon, roast malt, woody and earthy tones - a great fall beer. Flavor presents bourbon, woody, roast malt and earth notes plus - yes, a hint of caramel. Texture yields firm, smooth body and peppy fizz. This is no turkey, but it is wild!
