pours a clouded orangy-copper with a puffy 2 finger off white cap. Aroma is hoptacular... pine, grapefruit, earthy fruits, over a stiff caramel malt tone. Flavour follows aroma with the big fruity-citrus-piney hops slightly over balancing a thick car-malt base - whole thing goes dry and increasingly bitter in the finish with a puckering bitter kiss at the finale - a great quaffing PNW IPA

Pours a cloudy ruby-brown, smallish head. Aroma has dark fruits some burnt caramel touch of sweetness, earthy yeast must. Flavour approximates a good sturdy dubbel but it seems a tad young....some rough edges that aging would cure. other than that I enjoyed this flavorful satisfying brew

On tap @ the Bent Elbow – pours a dark hazed brown with a smallish off white weizen cap. Fair carbonation. Prickly mouthfeel with silky delivery. Dry roasty character with hefeweizen spice and fruit tones – a very good Canadian dunkelweizen but I prefer Maisel’s

Bottle - puts a deep black-brown clouded ale in the glass with a 2 finger tight pored tan cap - which laces up the glass sides.a aroma is somewhat understated for what awaits the palate. Big roasy flavour (coffee/coca) with complimentary bittering and s lovely mouthfeel/body from terrified grain. light smoke tones...long lush wet finish. A great impy.

On tap @ the Bent Elbow - pours a dark hazed black-brown with a decent tan cap. Aroma is spicy, cocoa, vanilla and, yes, pepper. Medium bodied, prickly mouth feel. Flavour has the front side much like a robust coffee stout but with underlying pepper, yet no heat....long rich finish with the pepper coming forward a bit. Warming comes after the sip with pepper heat replacing alcohol warmth. Interesting beer ...one of the few pepper beers I can drink
