Winter Weiss (Vice) was developed over a warm cabin fire, filling the void for a flavorful yet sessionable brew to enjoy during a long Winters night. This Dunkelweizen is deep brown with notes of clove and banana. Muskoka Winter Weiss partners the yeast and wheat character of a Hefeweizen with the malty richness of a Munich Dunkel. The result, a brew to enjoy all Winter long. Seasonally brewed and available in limited quantity, the perfect beer for Winter celebrations with friends. On tap @ the Bent Elbow – pours a dark hazed brown with a smallish off white weizen cap. Fair carbonation. Prickly mouthfeel with silky delivery. Dry roasty character with hefeweizen spice and fruit tones – a very good Canadian dunkelweizen but I prefer Maisel’s

On tap at Pub Italia. Pours a small frothy brownish head and has a dark brown appearance. Lacing is not bad. Aromas of sweet malts. Flavours of dark fruits, sweet malts, hints of cinnamon. A little bit of hops come through. Slight warming sensation. Good retention.

Part of their Survival Pack for fall-winter 2014. Pours an unfiltered copper colour with some amber highlights. The beige head is fizzy, so disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Aromas are fruity with notes of dates and bananas. Nice spices too in the background. The taste starts on the cloves, but finishes pretty quickly with not much lingering. Hints of apples, dark malts and bananas again. An interesting mix between a dunkel and a weiss, but lacking character overall. Not something I would have again, but glad I tried.
