Brasserie du Bas-Canada Remède de Chfal
A really smooth, nutty Imperial Stout with the touch of the barrels of Bourbon, without overpowering. 22 hours ago -
Fine Balance Light Hazy Pale Ale (Galaxy & Citra)
A nice light hazy IPA that does not seem as low as 3% ABV. 2 days ago -
Unibroue 30e Anniversaire
A good Belgian strong ale stout with a touch of maple. Happy 30th anniversary! This is the brewery that got me into beer, and why I wanted to start rating. 2 days ago

Black colour with no highlights, a mocha-coloured small, bubbly head, average retention and a nice creamy circle-ring on top of the brew. Cacao, chocolate malt base with some nuttiness, hints of soya sauce. The taste shows a slightly more bitter, than sweet, chocolate-cacao side. Good nut notes in there, with enough dryness in the finish to cut the richness. A really smooth, nutty Imperial Stout with the touch of the barrels of Bourbon, without overpowering.

Mildly hazy, light golden colour with an amber hue. Frothy, bubbly white head, decent stay and full foamy lacing. Citrus aromas with lemon peel, cilantro notes and herbal hints. The mouthfeel is wet with nice dryness in the end. The taste is a little milder, but still had good citrus-grassy notes. A nice light hazy IPA that does not seem as low as 3% ABV.

Lightly hazy (getting hazier as it pours), amber-pink colour with a creamyish white-pinkish head, good stay and some nice lacing. Fruity aromas with oranges blending with the blackcurrants. Hints of nuttiness, also appearing in the taste. Mild sourness, the fruits and some tart. All is on the mild side. An easy blackcurrant Gose.

Dark brown colour with copper-ruby highlights, a bubbly-frothy beige head, good retention and some some thick foamy lacing. Aromas of toasted malts with a sweet touch of maple syrup, and after breathing... some decent herbal hops come out. The taste shows some mintiness, as I remember having in their other anniversary brews. It refreshes the roasted malt base, and cuts the syrupy sweetness. Alcohol comes out in the nose, but not as warming in the mouth. A good Belgian strong ale stout with a touch of maple.

Light golden colour, fairly clean (a very mild haze) with a frothy-bubbly white cap, good stay and some thick foamy lacing. Wheat nose with the banana, bubble gum nose, but balanced with a herbal touch. The hops continue in the taste, cutting the sweet-thicker usual wheatness. A nice blend of bananas and wheat cereals. Quite an easy-drinking Hefeweizen with enough hops to help out.
