    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet malt with light spicy undertones is quite pleasant. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet caramel malt with light notes of spices. Body has a somewhat creamy texture which is really enjoyable with good carbonation. Easily drinkable with a nice taste profile. Probably one of the best beer I tried from this brewer.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black stout with a large dirty brown foamy head with good retention and some really good lacing. Aroma of bourbon is really dominating with some light notes of black chocolate coming through. Taste is totally dominated by bourbon with some warming alcohol notes and light black chocolate notes. Body is full with some creamy notes and good carbonation but alcohol is too apparent. Not bad overall though you might as well drink bourbon since it is so overpowering.

  • Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Bottle: Poured a cloudy orangey color ale with a large foamy head with great retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with a bready yeast and a well balanced lightly sweet Belgian-style malt backbone. Taste is also a nice mix between some nicely sweetness Belgian-style malt backbone and some fruity ester with a light spicy yeast finish. Body is full with limited filtration and good bottle-conditioning with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well brewed and something I would gladly have more often.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of deep caramel malt and toffee with some very subtle ginger notes. Taste is also dominated by caramel malt with sweet toffee notes while ginger is hidden quite well in this whole mix. Body is full with limited filtration and some average carbonation. Not bad overall but I was expecting a beer more focus toward ginger then strong caramel malt.

  • Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dirty brown color head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry coffee notes is quite intense with notes of roasted malt and light warming alcohol. Taste is dominated by coffee and roasted bitter notes with limited sweetness and some astringency. Quiet a departure for the Black Albert and seems to fall more on the side of the De Molen beer. Body is full with slightly oily texture and good carbonation with alcohol not too apparent. Very interesting mix and now I can’t wait to finish drinking the other variations.
