Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet malt with light spicy undertones is quite pleasant. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet caramel malt with light notes of spices. Body has a somewhat creamy texture which is really enjoyable with good carbonation. Easily drinkable with a nice taste profile. Probably one of the best beer I tried from this brewer.

Pours an average size foamy tan head and has a murky brown appearance. Lacing is ok. Aromas of bready malts, yeast and resin hops. Flavours are somewhat sweet, quite malty, yeasty. Hints of caramel as well as some spices. Some bready malts and hints of banana on the finish. Smooth and slick mouthfeel. A little bit of a drying sensation on the palate. Pretty good.

A limited bottling at the LCBO (I was told). Pours a slightly hazy copper colour with a beautiful big creamy off-white head that has great retention and thick layered lacing. Mild spicy nose with some cereal malt scent and notes of bananas. Wet and a tad creamy mouthfeel. A good balance between the rye and the weizen yeast, creating a refreshing weizen-tasting beer.

Bottle, Fresh: Pours a turbid copper ale in the glass, 2 finger off-white cap...fair retention, good lacing qualities. Aroma is almost a ringer for Schneider Weiss: fruits, spice some musty damp rye bread tones, some herbs. UP front this is bready and fruity then mid palate it turns into a very different drink from Schneider Weiss...gets earthy, spicy a tad sour and a building dryness intensifies until the finish is dominated by a dry sourdough discernment. Actually a pretty good take an a Bavarian Roggenbier bur a tad sweeter in the front...just the same the sourdough xtra dry finish makes up for it. A very flavorful and drinkable beer just made for sessioning. I’ll buy more...I like this far better than their Witbier.
