Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

A deep amber colored beer with a big sudsy, rosy colored head rising robustly above. Excellent hang time on the head. Settles into a light halo of film and a thin ringlet. The profile is caramel malt and citric, some grapefruit hops. Light, effervescent and refreshing.

Pours reddish-brown with airy head. Floral and citrus notes complement earthy malt in the aroma. Tastes pleasant but I've enjoyed some fantastic rye beers and this one isn't that league. Medium bodied with a clean finish.

A reasonable hop aroma lets you know you're in for a hoppy beer and the taste really delivers. Pretty much an IPA in hop character, the bitter leaves a dry finish and you can't wait for your next sip.

Pours dark copper with a low low head. Decent lacing. Aroma is sweet hoppy. Flavor is citrusy sour and hops. Decent mouth bite. Bitter aftertaste but it's all good for hop heads.

I picked this beer up at the Wine Gourmet in Roanoke, VA. I have passed on this one a time or two but wish I hadn't. This beer was very good. The dominant flavor is floral/citrusy hops; however, there is no missing the rye backbone. A pleasant and refreshing beer. I would have this again.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Hazy orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized longlasting beige head, that leaves some slight lace. Aroma is fruity and floral hops along with some mild caramel malty and ryebready notes. Flavour is sweet malts along with fruity and floral hops, some mild spices as well grass. Pleasantly balanced brew. The rye becomes more present as the beer warms up a bit.

The aroma is off da hizzok. Rye, citrus, pine mmmm. It poured a deep copper color. The flavor has some rye but alot of citrus like orange peel and a good malt backbone. Overall dis is kickin it

dang...this is one aromatic and flavorful brew. can't say i like it more or less than the (also great) Centennial IPA, so i guess i gotta score em the same. huge boquet of spicy and floral hops. the rye blends seamlessly with the flavor of the hops and slightly sweet malt. heavier than expected, and the alcohol was noticeable, but not at all overbearing. Founders continues to climb. Thanks Cory and/or John...not sure who this came from...but I'm glad I've got another!

I have to downgrade it a bit on appearance, it's a little murky. Other than that a very nice beer. Good fruity hop nose with a nice citrus bite and a dry-rye aftertaste.
