Rated Nov. 2007. Bomber pours a clear amber with tall off white head. The rye is coming through nicely in the aroma. Behind that I get malt sweetness, roasted maltiness and mild vague hoppiness. The flavor begins with a spicy, pine and even grapefruit hop bitterness. Then a pulse of rye, roasted malts and sweet caramelized malts show up in force. This beer is malty and bold with a slightly less bold hop bill.

I guess this was my first rye beer. If I were to guess it must be a IPA. It wasn't so much bitter as what I would say it was sour. Citrus was very apparent and I can say that I'm a fan of this beer.

Tried in Vermont, thanks to my friend Mart. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a frothy warm cap that has great retention and even better lace. Big hoppy nose with the grapefruit notes. Then, other fruity malts come out with hints of nuts. Medium-bodied with a mild dry finish. Sweet caramel malt taste with the warming alcohol, citrus and nutty finish. This is a great rye specialty ale with the American bitterness from the hop.

If I have any criticism of World of Beer, I don't want my ales served so chilled. This amber colored, big frothy textured off white head ale needed to warm. And when it did the cornucopia of sweetness, citric bitterness and rye danced so well. Light medium and refreshing.

Sweet fruit aroma is second only to Bell's Two Hearted. Flavor adds some rye tang. Hop bitterness lingers. Is unfiltered, but recently I'm disappointed to find fewer "floaties". Full mouth feel. At $7.99/six pack, it is very reasonably priced.

It pours a dark amber with a thick orange-white head and copious lacing. An aroma of rye bread malts, hops, pine, limes and citrus, grass, and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth .. a little thin. Flavors of rye bread malts, hops, citrus, pine, grass, bitterness, and spices. Very smooth and flavorful.

Very deep red/copper color with a frothy white head. The aroma is just the right mix of pine and citrus. The mouthfeel is full and smooth. The hop flavors predominate the beginning, finishes with with lighter malt flavor and aftertaste is back to citrus and pine. Very tasty beer.

Paired this off with Real Ale's Pale Moon Ale. This had a much more intense rye character. The hop flavor was intense. The overall character was quite sharp. There were some hints of caramel to stop it from becoming too sour or bitter. Just enough sweetness to stop this beer from running over the edge. The beer poured a reddish-brown. This is an intense and awesome beer. I am beginning to understand that I really love beers with rye.

Pours a nice medium dark copper amber. Flavor is dynamic hops with grain, but with a difference. Must be the rye. The rye flavor is a little hard to pick out but the overall impression of the brew is a solid worthwhile beverage.
