This was a really great double IPA. It was a bit sweeter than I would have expected, which made it a really pleasant change from the norm. I didn't realize until I was filling out the form for this beer that the brewery was located in Bakersfield! I will have to visit sometime. The 9% ABV is certainly felt, but not tasted at all. Full texture on the tongue, no complaints. Not the greatest beer I've ever had, but certainly very, very far above average.

A true pint can! My friend brought this back from his trip to visit his sister. This is a really great IPA. Smells bready with a full body. Aroma of pine nuts, grapefruit, and pineapples. Tastes of resin and solid bittering hops. Cloudy orange. This may be one of the best IPAs I've had in a while.

Tried this because it was reasonably fresh and it referenced Greek mythology. I wouldn't say that this beer is as powerful as the name implies, however. I poured it out, and thought," damn that is a nice looking beer." Reddish copper with a thick head. It didn't have anything exceptional or complex in either the flavor or aroma profiles. just a slightly sticky, resiny well-balanced ale. This is still a great beer, it is just uni-dimensional. It isn't a knockout, but tasty and worthy.

Granted, this is a bit old. I found this in the store and didn't see the brewed in year until I got home. "Oh well," I thought. "let's see how it held up." This wheatwine has a thin, light head. Little bits suspended in amber in the glass. There is still some faint woodiness, but there is also a slight twinge of apple cider vinegar. The mouthfeel is beautifully full, combining the maltiness of a barleywine with the fullness of a wheat beer. This part was done excellently. Overall, a good beer (considering the age).

A lot less impressive than I thought it would be. A muddy mess of chocolate and coffee holding down the bottom. Flat and thin. Strong mint ring at the end. It sounded delicious, but the actual beer was not worth it at all.
