Found at the LCBO, this is a Rye Porter from Denmark, and not a bad beer at all. The colour is very dark brown with a creamy chcolate coloured cap. Lots of coffee notes in the aroma with hints chocolate and roast. The spicy notes associated with most European rtye beers are definitely lackling in this one. There is more of a molasses/coffee toi this one.

Pours a thick frothy auburn head and has a fairly dark brown appearance with some pretty chunky sediments clearly visible at the bottom of glass. Leaves dirty lacing all around. Rye and barley malt aromas. Some light coffee dark roast aromas as well as mild spices. Flavours of chocolate, rye, barley malts, slight yeasty hints, earthy and resin hops. Also some notes of toffee. The alcohol is just slightly noticeable but not too offensive. Average carbonation. Full bodied slick and creamy mouthfeel with a chalky mouthcoating sensation. Very good, lots of flavours and well balanced.

Single from the LCBO, written "Rye Porter" on front label. Pours an almost black colour with a creamy and bubbly mocha head with great retention and lots of foamy thick lace. Beautiful aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and molasses. Starts rich, but calms down after a few minutes. Balanced mouthfeel between wet and oily, with a little stickiness to it. Alcohol is well-hidden by the light bitterness in the finish. Burnt malt taste with notes of anise, rye and molasses. Lots of debris left in the bottom of the bottle. A nice twist on the Imperial Porter with the rye. Well-brewed.

500 ml bottle - pours a turbid unfiltered black with a 3 finger sticky mocha cap. Aroma is a wonderful amalgam of cocoa/coffee roastyness balanced with an underlying piquant spiciness. Sturdy malt spine, bid sturdy mouth feel. Flavor has big malts in the front which dissolves into a decent roasty-spicey-herbal bittering balance, long rich finish wher the malts give way to a penetrating bittering. Great lush porter with a big spicy rye character - first rate.

Called Amager Rye Porter here. Pours pitch black with a sub-one finger head that lofts for a bit. Can't tell if it is carbonated. Aroma is of booze, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is fairly dry and bitter with a hit of dark roast coffee (the kind you get at a coffee shop, not the star bucks shit). Fairly boozy as well with a strong hint of dark chocolate. Finishes off sticky and chocolaty. Very nice.

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Black colour. Moderate roasty (coffee) notes in both aroma and flavour, hints of rye bread. Drinkable, absolutely nothing wrong with it, but as this is Amager, I expected something even better. BTW, we brewed a homebrew porter last year with exactly the same ratio of rye malts in it, and thought it was better than this. Did not taste them side by side, though - and we might have been slightly biased, or slightly drunk ...

Pours a dark-chocolate brown with a thick and rather persistent light tan head. Aroma is strong and smoky and has an odd but not repulsive waxy component. Taste fills the mouth with malty and smoky flavors and a decidedly rye undertone, as well as a hoppy hint. Texture is restless and fizzy, not at all smooth, a bit thick and oily. Whether it’s Rye Porter or Rugporter, it’s worth seeking.

Bottled@SBWF2010.Quite much black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some ryebread, mild coffee, liquorice, ashes and some slight alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is being quite much the same in a nice balance. Also has some dark dry fruits and mild berryish notes in it. Pleasant.

Bottled. Pours out in a cloudy dark brown appearance with a rich pale brown head. Figs, coffee, mild spices and roasted malts in the aroma. Nearly full-bodied with notes of coffee, dark bread, spices, sweet licorice and sugary brown chocolate. Long medium-bitter finish of spices, coffee, roasted nuts and chocolate-sauce.
