A bold amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, light beige colored head. There's decent hang time on the head. It eventually settles into a moderate ringlet and splotches of film. Nose is of grassiness, some rye spiciness and citric hops. In the tasting more of the same with the citric hops a gentle, sweet grapefruit. Full bodied, smooth. EXECELLANT, smack full of flavor.

Dark amber color with an off white head. Aroma contains some citrus, dark fruit, cherries, and caramel. The flavor is somewhat bitter but also malty. There are IPA elements with the pine and citrus but also some cherries, caramel, and molasses element. Well balanced beer. Nice!

Aroma is seriously hoppy and rye-ish, with dry hay and subtle citrus notes. It pours a clear chestnut with a rather thick, fluffy, and persistent wheat head. Flavor has a rich rye core and a robust, woody, only slightly bitter hop note, plus fruity, earthy and even caramel hints. Body is a little thin, but quite fizzy. Terrapin, keep up the good work!

Brought down to split at a musicfest by a friend from GA. Reminds me like some of Lagunitas red ale-IPA hybrids. One of the better seasonal RYPAs out this year. Clean feel, good balance. Not too bitter nor sweet...not too heavy nor light. Mohagony-like semi-clear appearance. Good beer.
