About:
I am one who appreciates quality instead of quantity. So when it comes to beer, there is no exception. I would rather have 1 or 2 singles of good craft and nurture them, versus a 6-pack of crap. Since joining this site, I am realizing that not only are there many US microbrews that I haven't tried, but THOUSANDS around the world I need to sample as well. This site will help guide me towards those selections. Might meet some new friends too.

Sampled a single can at Skippers in Tampa years ago at a concert, but forgot to review. May have been slightly better than the other Highway 128 I tried (The Kimmie, The Yink, and the Holy Gose). That one was more of a lemon citrus gose, but this of course had the blood orange twist. Pretty mild on the fruit which gives it that gose feel, versus some of the medium strength sours in the 5%-6% range. Not as much salt as some of the local/smaller breweries versions of this style. Good beer, just seems slightly massed produced.

Split this bottle with a friend who brought directly from brewery. Limited edition. Aged on cognac barrels....giving super/almost too-sweet flavor. Heavy and little overwhelming on the feel. Inherited an extra bottle to age for a year or two, so we'll see how that comes out. Good sipping beer...just make sure you can split it multi-ways.

On tap at Pinkie Masters, a historic bar in downtown Savannah. This could be the most bland and forgettable Anchor that I've sampled. Blondes are hit or miss for me, and this was a miss. The orange is very mild, which doesn't add much flavor. Aroma and feel are eh. I was hoping for better.

This is about 5th one that I've sampled in the dry hopped series. They are starting to blend together. Still think I prefer the Citra or Mosaic the best. They all have that hazy darker yellow to light orange appearance. Only downside is that they all seem to have that over-carbonated, bubbly feel.

Have sampled a few different mango wheats over the past few summers. I guess this would fall somewhere in the middle. Mango is on the milder side so doesn’t overwhelm with sweetness. Wheats are usually too bland for me. This adds a nice contrast. Has a hazy dark yellow appearance. An OK seasonal, but not really one I’d return to.
