Like virtually any Prairie beer, I had to acquire one this outside, I mean way outside Oklahoma. I speak this half truth with a half smile as I am extremely proud of the success of my home state beer. Pours cloudy gold with full, foamy head. Lots of funky notes off the yeast play against bright lemon, apple, and evergreen. Reminded me a great deal of Funky Gold Mosaic, which is a good thing.

An example of the surge of serious craft beer brewing in Spain. Had I entered this beer as a fruit beer (could have, it actually contains papaya), it would have scored in the exceptional range. Still a pleasant IPA, full bodied with pine resin and tropical notes.

Pours black with thin, lasting head. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, tobacco with a flavor profile to match. Enjoyable interplay between sweet and bitter. Medium-to-full body with vigorous carbonation. A fine example by style. A year ago, it would have probably scored some tens with me, but I live in the land of Prairie Artisan Ales and that means this beer competes with Bomb! and Noir and Vanilla Noir. Against those it is an 8.

Pours kind of thin-feeling with small head. Aroma is roasty with a honey-like sweetness. Flavor is clean, roasty, dry; simple, but perfectly drinkable. Thin bodied for a stout, but not watery. Fine beer.

Well I am not a lambic aficionado and I'm also not in the habit of spending $36 on a single beer, but my favorite purveyor pushed me and I'm thankful he did. Pours cloudy orange and without head. Aroma is bitter-orangey with a strong funk. Flavor is tart but clean with subtle wood in the finish. Medium bodied uncarbonated (I think), pleasant to the palate. Worthy sample of a rare beer.
