Five hops and four malts make Hoptober Golden Ale a veritable cornucopia of earth. Pale and wheat malt are mashed with rye and oats to create a medium-bodied ale with creamy mouth feel. Centennial, Cascade, Sterling, Willamette and Glacier hops form a bonfire of citrus notes, fruity cheers and a bold finale. ABV: 6% 40 IBU Available in 6-packs and on draught.

12oz bottle pours brilliantly clear gold with a nice near white head. The aroma has a pleasing hoppy profile with firm spicy hops followed by a touch of pine hop resin and then some sort of floral notes and sweet fruity grapefruit cotton candy. The taste is similar with yummy spicy hops mixing with malt sweetened tangelo, a bit of grapefruit and rimmed with floral hops. In the background I get mild sweet malt notes and a nice Anchor Steam like yeasty ester sensation. Tasty and refreshing.

12oz bottle from Brewforia
Appearance: Clear golden with a nice frothy white head and lots of lacing
Aroma: Bisquity & citrus
Taste: Malts, bready, citrus with some lemon bitterness in the finish
This is a nice clean, crisp and refreshing beer. But, with a name like Hoptober, I expected it to have more hop characteristics. -

Medium sized white head with fair retention and a better lacing, sticky, lasting. Pale gold hued ale. Nose is nice, soft with some spicey, piney hoppyness, little breadyness, grains. Body is light, good carbonation level, lil juicey, lil oily. Dry malty flavors backed up with fruity, spicey hoppyness, clean and fairly dry, no bite, welcoming, enjoy. Bomber from statelineliquors.

This is what the British would call, a harvest ale. A fall seasonal that throws a bunch of hops and malt together to create a golden ale. This beer pours a slightly hazed gold color, topped by a thin white head. Lots of herbal and citrusy hops in the aroma backed up by some biscuit malts. Mouthfeel is average. Flavor is on the bitter end of the spectrum with the malts not very pronounced in this one.

Smells of fresh wheat and hops. Pours is thin. Pale yellow color with a nice head. So far, this reminds me of a refresshing summer brew, not a fall variety. Body is rather thick and velvety. That is, until I taste it. What a complex flavor. I taste a multitude of hops and grains. This beer is like fireworks in my mouth. I think New Belgium must have added every grain and hop that they could find. It's gonna take me awhile to figure this one out. For now, I'll say Looks Like A Pilsner. Body of a Hefeweizen. Taste Like A IPA. WTF?

Pours clear yellow with a white ringlet leaving just a smidge of lacing. Aroma is hoppy and grassy. Flavor is citrus and hops. Good try, wouldn't kick it out of bed.

This poured a golden color with a rather large white head. The aroma was floral and contained some pine and lemons. The flavor was hoppy but rather 1-D with mainly lemons showing up. Some herbal flavors were also there. Overall a nice beer for a hop head, otherwise I’m afraid people will find it just one dimensional and bleh. No idea why the are using October in the name implying an Oktoberfest, not even close to that.

What a fantastic beer for any season of the year. I happen to have some in the Fall, then again recently and just really, really tasty. Golden yellow body, clear with a brilliant white 1" head. Citrusy and floral in the nose, solid malt aroma...a touch earthy now. Bready malt base helps support a really nice showing of citrusy/floral malts, subtle spices with a really nice piney finish. If it were a tab bit lighter, this might pass for a top notch pale ale.

This beer poured a slightly cloudy golden color with a nice head. The aroma was citrusy and had subtle hops with hints of pine. The flavor was balanced with a nice hop bite. Awesome beer!
