Our summer Margarita IPA has M80s of hops with a sparkler ABV, because just a little skill and lack of respect for dangerous things is fun! Fireworks & Karate fuses punchy kicks of hops – African Queen, Southern Passion, Cashmere, and Sabro – with explosions of true margarita awesomeness – lime juice, orange juice concentrate, agave syrup, and kosher salt – for a crowd-pleasing spectacle full of ooohs and aaahs. Spirals of sunny floral hops popping with sassy tropical glimmers send up a bombshell of real lime juice then *BOOM* shimmers of orange peel and sweet agave rain trails of salty sparkles in the cooling fade.

Tall can from LCBO. Pours a fairly huge frothy white head and has a hazy golden orangey coloured appearance. Lively carbonation. Thick patchy lace. Aromas of grassy hops, some subtle floral and citrus notes and faint coconut hints as well. Flavours of citrus and orange peel, some tarty notes. Salty and lemony finish on the palate and not in an enjoyable way. Won't have this one again. A rare miss.

The beer pours a hazy straw gold with a long lasting white cap. The aroma is grainy malt, some light caramel notes, light pine, citrus, and tropical fruits. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The first flavour that hits the tongue is tart fruit, as it sits on the tongue, some sweetness slowly evolves. Not something I would drink regularly, fortunately it’s Flying Monkeys so it is probably a one-off. -

Is there an coconut in margaritas ? This one has a coconut feel all over. Not too crazy, but there. And not bad. The lime is present with hints of saltiness. It is quite refreshing all-around. Hazy golden colour with a warm cap that is frothy, decent lasting and leaving some nice creamy streaks of lacing. Citrus aromas with the lime added to the lemon peel and a tad salt. Another interesting brew from this brewery.
