Pours clear golden amber with a thick and fairly persistent eggshell head. Aroma provides resiny hops - VERY hoppy - plus fresh malt and a citrus undertone. Flavor yields seriously bitter piney hops supported by tangy citrus and fresh malt, plus a hint of sweet tropical fruit. Texture features firm, smooth body and peppy, ragged fizz. Furiously hoppy!

A dark cherry amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, off white head rising atop. There is decent amount of hang time on the head. A thin ringlet is left. A light hoppiness in the nose. Bolder bittering citric hops in the tasting. Slick on the tongue

Dark amber pour with thick off white head. Plenty of lace. Excellent aroma. Citrus and pine taste with medium hop bitterness. Tasted great out of a can, looking forward to trying on tap or bottled.

Sampled from can, thanks to Andy! Pours cloudy dark copper with a creamy tan head and nice lace. Loads of citrus and pine in the nose. Pleasantly bitter with resinous hops dominating the flavor, but there is a substantial bready, caramel malt backbone. Just a beast of an IPA and any hop head should enjoy it.

The beer pours a dark amber color with about an inch off-white head that stays around for a long time. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is good, the brew smells like pine and grapefruit hops, along with some bready and caramel malt. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some floral hops and a bit of tropical fruit. There's also a nice lingering hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with moderate carbonation. I have to say this is a pretty good brew.

Definitly not a bad beer. I'm lucky to live in Minnesota and have access to this anytime I want along with some of the other highly sought after Surly beers. I enjoyed the hops and the beer went down real easy. I prefer Bell's Two-hearted any day of the week though.

Wish list item provided from PfoxyJohn's stash @IrishPfist: deep gold pour, tight tall white head, good lacing. MASSIVE hops aroma - pine, pineapple, citrus - just BAM, in your face, then sweet honey and malts, then more hops. Big hopped flavor, bitter YES, pine and earthy and citrus and YUM, looooonnng bitter linger. Most excellent Sir Pfister. Thank YOU!

Dark copper pour with a thick off white head and a ton of lacing. Nice aroma of citrus and pine. First drink shows the bitterness with lots of pine and citrus. Wow, this is a very drinkable, and well balanced IPA. Small bit of breadiness to off-set the hops.

Fairly fresh as it's only approaching a few months old, generously sent by heybeerman (thanks man). Wonderful deep copper body with a billowing off white head and thick lacing. Some small floaties suspended within the beer, but I don't let that distract me. Good bitterness with lots of pine and citrus. Medium bodied and very drinkable, well balanced for an IPA. Hints of caramel and bread to offset the hops.
