Deep golden to light amber color, and a nice off-white head, with good retention when properly served. Starts off with pleasantly strong hop flavors, balanced by a firm malt backdrop, then fades to a dry finish with a lingering hoppiness.

650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.25%. Golden colour, only slightly hazy. Large white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, notes of pine, caramel and grapefruit. Lovely and well balanced hoppy flavour, pine needles and grapefruit again, not extreme - just very well made.

Pours hazy topaz with a thick and fairly persistent ivory head. Aroma provides resiny hops, tangy orange, subtle tropical and fresh malt notes. Flavor delivers now more piney hops, a little bitter, plus tangy citrus and tropical fruit and crisp fresh malt. Texture offers smooth and fairly firm body with peppy fizz. A must for every IPA nut.

Bomber from Total Wine (Scottsdale, AZ). Clear copper pour and a fluffy white head; good lacing, too. Best aroma, citrus, grapefruit galore, pine resin. Agreeable mouthfeel. Superior flavour, just like the aroma, some malt sweetness to offset the bitterness. Great finish, bitter with the tropical fruit. Splendid.

Big pine and citrus in the nose. Medium amber body that is not quite clear, topped by a nice frothy head with good retention and and decent of lace. Mouth is clean, soft, slippery, medium bodied with nice carbonation. There is an exception perceived bitterness here at 73 IBU. A surprisingly solid malt backbone on this one that hints at toasted grains. Finish is wet and clean. This an excellently balanced. Alcohol slightly present. Grapefruit and orange on the font end, lovely spot on IPA. Might well be the standard against which all other Left Coast IPA's should be judged.

22 oz bottle, bottled on 1/6/14. Pours clear light copper with a big frothy off white head that retains well and laces the glass some.
The aroma is sweet caramel malt, tropical fruit and dank piney hops.
The flavor is sweet bready caramel malts with tropical fruits and a lot of dank resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly spritzy carbonation.
Overall, a very solid IPA. -

I picked this beer up from the Nugget supermarket in El Dorado Hills, California. This IPA has been on my wish list for some time and came with high expectations. This was a very nice IPA. The nose on this beer was outstanding. I would love to have this again.

Found this delightful brew at Belmont Station and picked it up. First Alesmith brew I have ever tried and I liked it! Pours a partly cloudy orange colour with a large, overflowing white head. Sticky, resinous froth that clings visciously to the glass. Aroma is dehydrated fruits- peaches, mango slices, some pineapple. Tase is incredibly dank- how I like em!- and full with a generous hopslam. Awesome beer.

Maltier than I was expecting, especially from a California brewer. Nice copper body with a billowing white head and thick lacing. Abundant hops, but not as extreme as one would expect...not certain but I keep thinking of Centennial and Cascade predominately. Biscuits with a mild caramel backdrop showcasing a nice depth of floral and piney hops. Very nice, but it honestly fell short of the Sculpin and White Rajah recently enjoyed.

Good all around West Coast IPA. Nice citrus hop aroma and flavor, a good strong malt base that balances it out just right. As other reviews have said, a good solid example of the style and well worth trying.

pours a good healthy copper red. This brew is a vastly superior beverage compared to many of the supper market offerings out there. Compared to many of the more exclusive craft IPA's out there it shows well, but is not head and shoulder above the rest. If you come across it, buy and enjoy, just don't go too far out of your way to find it.
