Rerating and editing not sure what I was drinking when I wrote this previous review. Mild nose of biscuit with hints of both citrus and grassy yeast. Surprisingly clear pale yellow body for an unfiltered Brew tapped by a decent Whitehead that has good retention that leaves a nice skim coat. The carbonation is very tingly the mouth is slightly slick medium-bodied and very clean. Lemon and grass in the mouth bittering towards the end. The finish is very short and very clean.

Ripe pear in the nose with some grass and some baking space and biscuit. Slightly fogged medium Amber body topped with a large white head with good retention and decent lace. Mouth is medium-bodied slightly sick and very tingly carbonation that's a present in the view but definitely on the tongue. Really clean finish on the beer is the first thing I notice. And the finish is very short. Getting a hint of pear and the sweetness the cardamon comes through significantly in the mid taste even though I didn't really pick it up much in the nose. It's just a little pepper to it and a nicely balanced minimal but appropriate hop bite towards the end. Very well done beer thinking I might like it more than Duvel.

Minimal nose.... St roasted malts weak coffee. Pores almost but not quite opaque black with a hint of Ruby highlight topped by a caramel colored head that lasts long and leaves lovely lace.. damn that's a lot of alliteration. Mouth is smooth silky creamy with perfectly understated carbonation. Flavor starts sweet and bitter without either being overpowering. Very dry finish. Very neutral flavored burnt malts. At 4% ABV this is mother's milk and it's delicious. Beats the pants off of Guinness.

Fantastic one lasting nose...... Pineapple, fresh green pepper, a little baking spice, honey. Pores a white gold with a frothy Whitehead that leaves very nice lace. Mouth is slick slightly oily medium bodied nicely carbonated. Flavor is growing on me. After a few drinks and actually seems pretty balanced with a nicely bitter yet clean finish. Play some sourness in the mid taste... stone fruit pit and lemon zest. Picking up just the latest hint of biscuit at the very end. Hint of Honey at the start which quickly goes slightly spicy hint of black pepper and trace of cinnamon.
