2016 Edition, in a bomber from Total Wine (Scottsdale, AZ). Wax dipped bottle; these are always such a challenge (for me) to uncap. Clear amber pour, creamy ivory head. Malty aroma, with boozy undertones. Solid mouthfeel. Caramel flavour, along with dark fruit and alcohol. Nicely balanced and not too sweet. A pleasing effort. Hardly the ideal beer for a 28 degree C July day, but what you going to do, with no IPA in the house?

Bomber from BCLDB Clayton. Clear amber pour, fluffy white head. Piney aroma, for the most part. Medium=bodied mouthfeel. Decent IPA flavour, bitter enough with the resins, and some tropical fruit. Malty backbone to finish. Satisfying, and a another decent effort by Dead Frog. They've come a long way since startup.

750ml corked and caged bottle, from Total Wine (Gilbert, AZ). Clear amber pour, with a creamy ivory head. Fruity aroma, some yeast as well. Full-bodied mouthfeel. Fruity flavour, plus some malt, spices, and a refined booziness. Malty finish, Head on the second pour was creamier yet. Good effort, Sam.

Bomber from Central City. Clear amber pour, decent hangtime on the modest white head. Pleasing aroma, maybe the best thing here, fruity and also somewhat floral. Solid mouthfeel. Flavour was by far too malt forward, although oddly enough the aroma did not even suggest this. Not really any citrus or pine resins to speak of, but certainly earthy. Bitter enough, at least.

Corked & caged 750ml bottle from Total Wine, Gilbert, AZ. Best before 20 Jan 2016 (!?!). Headless pour of clear chestnut, and devoid of carbonation. Inviting aroma, featuring malt, spices, dark fruit (plums and raisins, perhaps), and some booziness. Smooth mouthfeel, solid without being cloying. Sweetish flavour and finish, dark fruits mostly, and the boozy influence was on full display.
