Samuel Adams New World Tripel: Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

750ml corked and caged bottle, from Total Wine (Gilbert, AZ). Clear amber pour, with a creamy ivory head. Fruity aroma, some yeast as well. Full-bodied mouthfeel. Fruity flavour, plus some malt, spices, and a refined booziness. Malty finish, Head on the second pour was creamier yet. Good effort, Sam.

Really interesting Triple because the high 10% abv was hidden very well. Poured out a yellow color and after only pouring. About 2 ounces the glass was full of a massive long lingering white head.

Part of the Barrel Room Collection at the LCBO. Pours a golden-amber colour with lots of minuscule particles creating some mild haziness. The head is lightly beige with good retention and lots of sticky, thick lacing. Aromas of Belgian Ale yeast and fresh spices of light grass, close to mint. Different types of fruits come out with time. Can smell the alcohol, but do not taste it. Yeasty taste with lots of fruits (oranges, tropical). Well-blended overall and decent for the style.

Shared bottle at Atomic City Dinner Club (ACDC). #BostonStrong Dark amber gold color, very tight head, some lacing. Rich dark apricot and peaches, brown sugar and Belgian yeast aroma and flavors, nice zing from the Saaz hop additon, slightly floral and honeysuckle, creamy mouthfeel, again very rich and warming. Very well received amongst friends.

SA has gone to extra lengths to get all brew style drinkers to try these master brews. I love tripels and this one was very nice. It has a great head and didnt fall to fast. The color was quite clean for a tripel without any noticeable yeast permiating in the glass. Mouth ful felt quite full and enjoyed it. Going down there was a typical alcohol taste that you get from the premium SA beers. Some guys like that I tend not too in a tripel. This was also aged in oak barrels and did had the light fruit tones but also was spiced with notes of Cardomom and sweet candy. Id go for this again.

pours a deep and hazy orange with a thick medium sized head and shows off some lasting foaming action, leaving behind an ample amount of lacing. The aroma is one of the fruitiest tripels I’ve ever dealt with. Tons of tropical fruit hits you in the aroma, along with sweet malts, Belgian yeasts, and whiffs of alcohol. The taste in the beginning has a nice tartness, the flavor falls back into that same sweetness picked up in the aroma; candied sugars, pineapple, cloves, pepper, and a light vanilla. There is a noticeable alcohol presence and a slight oak character in the finish. The mouthfeel has a light-medium body; very smooth and with a lingering dryness, also, an enjoyable and long-lived aftertaste.

Bottle goes off with a big bang. Pours a golden yellow with a massive white head. Aroma is very sweet and the oak is very noticeable. Nicely carbonated. Taste is very sweet to the tongue and a tad bitter. Detect hints of the oak barrels and tropical fruits on the palette. Mouth feel is slightly fruity and dry with a non-existent aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden. Overall this beer is an interesting one and deserves a space in the fridge.

Tropical fruit and spice indeed! Ever so slight hop bite. Maaaybe a bit sweeter and fruitier than the norm, but also dry in the finish and quite tasty. I have been impressed with this series.

Had just enough room in my checked bag to squeeze this one in to bring home. They had one in the wine shop where I stopped looking for fun stuff that I couldn't get at home. Normally not a huge fan of Belgians, Dubbles, tripels, etc, but had to try it. Pours medium golden color with a moderate (for the type) fluffy white head. Sweet and fruity - like peaches and slightly tart - in both aroma and flavor. Medium bodied with narry a hint at the 10% abv. Glad I didn't have anywhere to go.

This beer pours a nice clear golden amber color. It has a fluffy 3-finger white head on it. The head has fair retention, with small traces of laceing. There is a nice belgian yeast aroma right off the bat. There are also some nice scents of light fruits, bread malt, a touch of spices, and a mild hop aroma. The taste starts off with some sweet bready malts. there are some nice fruit and belgian yeast flavors. Also, There is a mild hop flavor and an earthiness. The finish bas some dryness to it, and there is some lingering sweetness and belgian yeast flavor. The flavor is really nice and I have no problem having glass after glass. I think this is a nice example of the style and a really nice beer overall. The ABV is hidden really well, I never would have guessed it was 10%.I enjoyed it.
