*Just reviewing this to add another country to my list. Bottle with Khao Poon at Sticky Rice Cafe in Knoxville, TN Clear golden yellow, ample white head,no lacing, pleasant aroma, typical basic not hateful lager. Paired nicely with the spicy Lao dish.

New version, freaking amazed to see it at my local beer market shelves. Red-brown translucent pour with short ring head. Sour cherries and fruits, hint of SweetTarts, oak, pinch of vineous and vinegar, but mostly traitor up deliciousness in the nose a palette. Love.

Yeah, I scored a couple of bottles (got a niece in Boston.) Beautiful golden color, near perfect white fuffy head, nice lacing throughout. Pleasant Belgian yeast and light biscuit nose and flavors, adequately hopped with a nice floral and fruity bouquet, great finish. This beer definitely meets the high Trappist standards of it's European counterparts. Bravo.

There is just one reason I am drinking and rating this beer: to add another country to my list. Amber color, no head nor lacing. Aromas of rubbing alcohol and apple pie moonshine, taste is about the same. Hot mess. This is a horrible excuse for a barleywine, but it's Romanian, so who knows...
