Is this Cotton Candy Double IPA named as an expletive or a giggle of goodness? Such sweet abominations can be confusing. Brewed with a dose of kitsch, the Flying Monkeys’ newest DIPA brings fall fair flavours to hoppy new heights.

The beer pours a hazed red-tinged gold colour with a creamy light tan head, The aroma is grainy malt with sugar notes. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is nicely balanced between the sweet graininess and bitter hoppiness, with some alcohol present.

Halloween 2022 beer rating of the night! Berry aromas that turn into the cotton candy smell (strawberry candied). Golden-amber colour with a warm frothy-bubbly head, good retention and some light foamy lacing. The taste shows the strawberry flavours with some good hoppy grassiness. Not expecting much from this one, but it is well done, blending the touch of cotton candy and herbal DIPA hops.
