Amazing nose really pungent. I'm getting pine tropical fruit and bread fairly equally balanced just a major nasal assault. Medium gold body is pretty hazed and tapped with a rather minimal head that doesn't leave much lace. Clean thin mouth very nicely carbonated and quite coating. I'm getting an ugly medicinal finish from this can which I don't recall getting on previous samples. This sucker is bitter with a touch of sour at the end. Taste really follows the nose with a mixture of good old fashioned IPA pine resin and New England IPA flavors of peach and perhaps some green tropical fruit. I'm going to rewrite this again later because I don't remember it tasting quite like this previously and I'm wondering if I've got a funky can. But here it is for now.

Tallboy at Sunset Grill, VT. Pours a good size frothy white head and has a super hazy orangey appearance. Decent sticky lacing. Big fruity tropical aromas. Flavours are very fruity, lots of tropical fruits, some sweet and biscuit malts, yeasty notes. Average carbonation. Medium retention. Quite a heavy brew and very good overall but wouldn't drink this all night for sure.

Pours hazy apricot with a fair creamy head. Aroma features strong hoppy and citrus tones. Bold flavor delivers resiny hops, fresh malt and tangy orange-grapefruit citrus notes. Mouthfeel offers firm body and lively fizz. Yet another beer off my bucket list!

Wonderful full on hop blast out of the can. A sweet malt beer with so much hops it burns, the burning hop sweetness is perfectly proportioned. Huge thanks to pfoxyjohn for traveling the southern States and visiting BluLou to bring this back to the bar(n) for all of us back at home. We're not worthy! Only detraction I can find is that its piss yellow and a bit chunky, I give the macro beers low marks for yellow and those ones r clear, can't give this one better marks as it looks worse.

An IPA in a can. Have heard a lot of fuss about this beer so drove down to the brewery to get some (and a couple of other Alchemist brews). Pours a very hazed dark golden-orange with a creamy white cap and tons of floaties. Aroma was pine and citrus, some caramalts. Flavour was similar, very easy to drink. Not sure why it's rated so high though as I didn't find anything outstanding about it.

Worthy of all the fuss currently enveloping this canned treat. Shared by a good buddy who just got back from a Vermont vacation. Explosive citrus with a firm pine backing. Very dry and grassy malt body. Bitter, satisfying and light to ever so medium bodied. Does stand out from the everyday IPA, but is far from the cream of the crop.

Thanks to Nikki for this can. Pours a cloudy golden with a foamy warm cap and dirty lace. Typical American IPA nose that is pretty hoppy. Thick mouthfeel with well-hidden alcohol. Still hoppy for taste, but just a little more tamer as the alcohol takes care of thing. Lots of good fruits also show up. Grapefruits, oranges and other citrus. Goes down very well for an Imperial IPA.

I love this beer and if it were more readily available I'd have it in my fridge year round. Aromas of pine and grapefruit, massively inviting yet mesmerizing. If Yankee made a candle scented like this brew, I'd buy it. Usually I sample from the can - in the instances when I shared the appearance is a hazed orange with notable hop 'floaties' suspended in the brew. Flavors of grapefuit, citrus, and pineapple battle with a strong malt backbone, but the emphasis is obviously on the hops. This has tropical fruit type flavors. It saddens me when I finish the small allottment I usually get, but damn this is one hell of a beer.

Wow. This beer absolutely knocked my socks off. It's been a while since I've been floored double IPA. One of the best I've tried in recent memory. Thanks to a really awesome customer who brought in a few cans of these for us to try at the brewery. Pours a hazy golden orange. Nose is incredible. Tropical, sweet, honey, melon, pineapple. Mouthfeel is so creamy, bubbly and round. Taste is absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced, not cloying, hops are persistently dry humping my mouth but it's not aggressive. Very sensual. Sonovabitch. DAYUM! Give me some more of this pleaaaaaase. Somebody!

Pours an orange/brownish color. Smell is bursting with hops and citrus. Taste is also good, lots of hops, citrus, tropical fruits. Overall this is a high quality beer worth seeking out.
