Horizontally traded cacao nibs and powder from ChocoSol Traders of Toronto to give the beer the most authentic and naturally luscious chocolate flavour and aroma. Espresso notes and the toasty tobacco aromas are part of the cacao beans' roasting as well as the profile of the chocolate malt in this ruby-lit, burnt umber bodied beer topped with fine cafe au lait lacing. Lactose sweetness gives The Manifesto the heavenly body of a milk stout and the indulgence we crave in chocolate.

Shared 750 ml bottle at local tasting. Triple Chocolate Milk Stout. ABV 10%. Black colour, tan head. Aroma of chocolate, and nothing but chocolate. Flavour of chocolate and vanilla. Incredibly rich.

Been saving this one for over a year and now sharing with Lilihel. Pours a real dark brown colour with cola highlights. The head is pretty big for such a high alcohol content. Creamy, mocha-coloured, very long lasting and with creamy thick lacing. Big aromas of chocolate with cacao nibs. After breathing, the nose becomes like dark chocolate, but other things appear like liquorice, roasted malts and apples. This fruit is more apparent in the taste with some cherries over the chocolate. Everything is so well-balanced, not too rich to be too much. A superb chocolate milk stout that is perfect for sharing on a winter night.

Black colour pour with a finger of mocha coloured head. Unfortunately the head is gone after a couple of sips and leaves no lacing. Great smell of chocolate, dark fruits and more chocolate. Taste has all types of chocolate. Name it, it's got it. It has some sweetness as expected, dark fruits and a dark chocolate bitterness in the finish. Doesn't taste like 10% abv. Sticky but not as thick as I thought it would be. Thought this was BNL out again until I got it home and looked at the unnecessary box. Didn't review BNL. From what I remember it looked better but I think I prefer the flavour of this one over BNL

Pours a thick frothy brownish head but dissipates fairly quickly to a thin coating. Has a dark brown appearance. Almost immediately the chocolate aromas abound. Has some notes of vanilla and coffee as well. The flavours are an insane mixture of malts, chocolates, cocoa, coffee and vanilla. Cookie dough taste in the finish and a little bit of brown sugar also. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, seems like actual chocolate milk. Aromas and flavours are so strong that the 10%abv really doesn't register as much, very well hidden. Much more sweet than bitter. This one's very good and surprisingly quite easy to drink, but a bit much after a whole bottle. Made to share.

The beer pours a solid black colour with a generous frothy dark brown head that lasts a few minutes. The aroma is a wake me up blast of coffee and chocolate nibs as well as dark fruit (think chocolate covered raspberries). The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is well balanced between sweet chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malt, and licorice. Rich and decadent, and maybe too much so.
