Zippy tartness, psychedelic currant twists, and far out waves of bright hops star in the blushing body of this clean botanical lager. Dry-hopped with lemon-y Amarillo hops, Wonderstar sings with a fresh mouthfeel, ever-so-slight bitterness, and winks of a citrus garnish to the finish. Whether enjoyed early on weekend patios, in the afternoons dockside, or for cocktails at twilight, Wonderstar brings its own fresh smile.

A gift from Martin Sanders. The beer pours a clear metallic gold colour with a huge generous white foamy head. There is little to no effervescence. The aroma is dominated by grainy malt, weak yeast notes, and some earthy hops. The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is strange. The grainy malt notes are there, but also notes of lemon furniture polish. This is not a good flavour for beer (or any beverage for that matter). The grassy aftertaste lasts several minutes.

Pours a clean golden ginger ale colour with a big frothy warm cap, good stay and some fluffy foam lacing. Wow! Aromas are quite nice and fresh with the black currant and other berry notes. Reminds me even of Sweet Tarts candy. The taste is mild and not really sweet. Berries again, but quite light with the hard to find hops. Still, enough to make this an interesting light summer fruity beer.
