Enjoyed at the Loon. Pours a dark brown colour, looks hazy with copper highlights, a frothy beige head, good retention and dirty lacing. Licorice candy nose aromas. Roasted malt start with the licorice showing up in the finish. Lingers a bit with burnt malts, smoothly flowing with hints of chocolate malts. Wet mouthfeel. Seems more like a stout than a porter, with the licorice well-balanced, but nicely present.

On tap at Arrow and Loon, abv at 7%. Pours a very large frothy off-white head and has a deep dark brown appearance. Thick and sticky lacing all around. Aromas of dark roasted malts, hints of coffee and caramel as well subtle notes of licorice. Flavours are fairly sweet and somewhat bitter. Definitely has that licorice taste, some spices. Good balance of bitterness and sweetness.
