Left Hand Brewing Company started in 1990 as the Indian Peaks Brewing Company, adopting the name 'Left Hand Brewng Company' in November 1993 after learning that Indian peaks was already in use Tabernash Brewing Company started in 1993 Left Hand and Tabernash merged in 1998 taking the Left Hand Brewng Company as a name while retaining Tabernash as a line of beers. In 2009, Left Hand Brewing ceased the Tabernash line of beers.
