I've seen this called Hopfen Weiss, though the description here soesn't seem to say so. Not as hoppy as, say, the Schneider hoppy wheat. but definitely a bitter hop kick in the aftertaste.

From 10/4/02 Light straw color (cloudy), large head. Light and refreshing. Good flavor, some banana and clove taste. Some maltyness, pretty typical of a wheat beer. Good balance. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

It pours a hazy and muddled golden-brown with a thin white head and not much lacing. An aroma of wheat malts, orange and citrus, bread and yeast, light apricot, and light spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of wheat malts, light hops, orange and citrus, breads, light peach and apricot, and spices. Very good!

Predominately hazy yellow/orange color with a white head with ok retention and lacing. some large bubbles appear in the head. Some light gold highlights at the bottom. Several small bubbles streaming from the bottom. Quite a bit of sediment floating around. Aromas of orange, banana, lemon. Some spicey notes similar to coriander. some wheat notes. Maybe even a bit of green celery and some pepper. the taste mimicked the aroma in that it provided the fruitiness of the banana, orange and lemon. some wheat bread flavors follow and the spicey tones bring up the rear. Not much bitterness is detected. Medium/thin mouthfeel. Crisp and refreshing. Smooth and mostly watery. Thirst quenching. Doesn't coat the palate very well. This beer is ok. Another refresher for summer. I could probably set a few of these back with ease. it's nothing outstanding or overly complicated. fairly solid all the way around. very similar to other wheat, "Wit" beers, but maybe not quite as spicy.

A desent hefe even if entirely average across the board. Nothing really stood out and there was nothing hateful at all about this beer. It had all of the requisite qualities of a hefe and met the standard. Drinkable and I'd drink it again - just nothing truly stellar.

ALthough this brewery makes some very nice beers... this one is just average to. Smells of yeast, wheat and straw with some lemon. Pours cloudy yellow with not much head. Light body with ok carbonation and a crisp finish. Flavor is typical of this style.. banana and yeast and clove..blah blah blah... Not my thing anymore... oh well still love lefthand brewery.

12 fl. oz. bottle, bought at Systembolaget. ABV is not mentioned on the label. Cloudy golden colour, big white head. Strong and very yeasty aroma, notes of baking yeast and bread dough. Also notes of over-ripe bananas, rotting fruits and cloves. Fresh mouthfeel, refreshing flavour with moderately fruity and spicy notes, but the finish is rather dull and bland.

A nice enjoyable Hef. Cloudy and light textured like most. Some wheat beers don't work for me, but this had good flavor and was pretty smooth. I am glad to have tried it, but dunno if I'd go out of my way.

This pours a very murky golden-yellow color, some floaties, with a thin head that evaporates right away to nothing. Bananas, cloves, lemons, malt, some spices but kind of blah and watery, weak mouthfeel. I just had a hard time getting into it and we had a warm day here today. Perhaps an old bottle? Anyways, not horrible but a bit empty.

Must've been a bad bottle, hmm... either way i thought it was weak. Poured a semi-cloudy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is faint of wheat, lemongrass and bananna. Taste is slightly watery, with a hint of sweetness in the finish.
