If you dream of wheat this brew will get your toes tapping. Since 1995 we have brewed Bavarian style wheat beers exclusively for the same great state that grows and malts our own Wisconsin wheat. In a world full of posers this is a true hefe-weizen naturally 100% bottle fermented and hazy. Expect this beer to cascade effervescent into your glass. The rich spicy clove and cinnamon notes will greet your nose while sweet fruit and wheat kisses your lips. Lick the foam from your mouth and admit sometimes you just gotta get up and dance.

Light straw yellow pour with a collapsing white head and spotty lacing. Fruity and pleasantly soft with a mild clove accent. A little off center compared to the more traditional Hefeweizens. Wonderful wheat.

SHOCKING NEWS!!! New Glarus makes ANOTHER awesome wheat beer! I swaer, they got the fruit and wheat beers styles down pat! HUGE aroma of bubble gum, banana and clove explodes out of the bottle. looks like you'd expect, with a nice frothy head. heavier feel due to the elevated abv, and a great flavor that just about matches the aroma. black wheat, crack'd wheat, and now this are probably 3 of my favorite 7 or 8 wheat beers from anywhere. only a couple german places rival these wheats! nice job, NG, and thanks Lou for the trade.

Although I am reasonably sure this beer originates from the WI beer mafia, it arrived in my hands via Bluesnbarbq. This is one delicious hefe! Smells of cloves and bananas, with some hints of cracker dust. Tastes like more cloves and spices, no bananas here, but lots of crackers. Unique color...almost apple cider orange. Minimal foaminess, which is a surprise for this style. Another delicious beer from NG. Thanks Louis!

Pours a hazy gold/orange with a large fluffy head that has excellent retention. Spices and bannanas are on the nose. Nice creamy mouthfeel and lots of good flavor with the spices as well. Another top notch product from those brewers in WI.

. wow, this is 7.2, couldn't tell til i got up from my breakfast... pours a dark murky tan yellow... great medium thickness foam ..2-0 to chelsea @ arsenal at the half... sweet banana, esters, maple, goodness in the nose ... . give him at least a week before you do something terrible to him... A pretty full/bold hefeweizen, but still pretty refreshing, but the added alcohol makes it a sipper ... . not that personal .. A very nice brew and pretty well made, but i didn't flip over it as i do most New Glarus products..

Thanks to pfoxyjohn for this one. Pours a cloudy orangish-yellow with a medium white head. Smells of primarily yeast with a bit of a citrus. I'm usually not a big fan of this style but this one was quite nice.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color wheat with a medium foamy head with average retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of cloves are dominating with some discernable wheat and overall a quite big malt base. Taste is a mix between some cloves and some big malt base and is not as close to the style as I was expecting. Either there is too much wheat and the beer is veering toward a wheat wine or maybe there is too much barley but I thought the malt base was too sweet for the style and didn’t provide enough refreshment. Also, at the risk of sounding too traditional, I would have like if more banana ester would have showed. Definitely not the best weizen out there and probably over rated and not the best beer from a very good brewer.

This one courtesy of the Wisconsin beer guru pfoxyjohn. Pours a hazy yellow with a nice white fluffy head and good lacing. Very good carbonation. Aromas of sweet wheat and ripe bananas with some Juicy Fruit gum. Tatse is sweet malty wheat ecstasy with a nice wheat base and a fruity - banana - and bubble gum base. Maybe the best hefe I've had. Excellent and leaves me wanting more of this sweet wheat nectar.

Finally, an american made German hefe that I can enjoy. I've had so many piss poor "American" wheats that I've almost given up hope that Americans can make a good hefe. Well they can and they brew it at New Glarus!
The beer pours out a hazy yellowish/orangy/gold color, big fluffy white cap. Aroma...sweet bananas, allspice, cloves. Flavors are suprisingly devoid of any banana, but it does have a fantastic light fleshy fruit character, strong wheat/cracker flavor, yeasty with a healthy dose of cloves to finish it. Fantastic beer. Loved every drop of it. Kudos to New Glarus. Every freakin' beer they make seems to be fantastic. -

This one poured a nice golden color with a thick frothy head. It had a pleasent hoppy floral aroma with a flavor not unlike candy. It had a nice level of sweetness, while retaining a nice malt profile. Went down real smooth. I had this one at 8:00pm central time on September 30th, during the Nationwide Toast to honor the late beer writer Michael Jackson.
