Pours a huge frothy white head and has a hazy pale golden appearance. Thick lacing. Aromas of mild yeast, wheats and grassy hops. Flavours are mainly bready malts, some notes of bananas, yeast. Some subtle hints of spices in the mix. Fairly smooth and slick mouthfeel. Good retention. Pretty good.

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a very cloudy, golden colour with an orange hue. Big frothy head, with decent retention (but not as much as the Krombacher weizen I had last night). Soapy lacing waving around. Malty wheat nose with some light spices and Belgian Ale yeast. Hints of citrus (oranges, lemons). Mild wheat flavours with notes of bananas and very light cloves in the finish. Goes down quite nicely and well-blended all-around. Smooth overall.

Can (as Denisons Weissbier, 5.6%). Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized cremy white head. Aroma is wheat, some mild spices, yeast as well as some slight toffeeish notes. Flavour is being quite much the same. Actually a very pleasant Hefeweizen.

On Tap at C'est What, on a quick stop in T.O. Cloudy yellow color, with gold shimmery hilights. Big white head, good staying power, lots of thick lace sheets. Lots of typical hefe aromas, banana, clove and other spices. Flavor was just like it smelled. Bananas and other fruit, cloves, very light and refreshing. Mouthfeel was very nice, creamy smooth with lots of bubbles. A very good hefeweizen, may be the best I have tried. I consider myself lucky to have found this one.

Tap at C’est What: Cloudy light dirty beige color weizen with a small foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dominating wheat malt is very refreshing. Taste is also dominated by loads of wheat with some very subtle notes of cloves. This is missing some banana ester which I usually look for in this style. Body is quite full with good carbonation. I very enjoyed that beer but I can’t say that it is necessarily the best weizen I have ever tasted.

The beer poured a hazy yellow-gold colour with a 1" thick white head. The aroma was wheat malt, some banana, and some spices. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was wheaty, slightly sweet, with a nice bitter finish.

This is a highly regarded beer in the Toronto region, I consider myself fortunate to have tried it. The aroma is fraught with wheat and some hops. The beer appears as hazy gold colour that signifies a great European wheat beer. The flavour is also wheaty. A truly exceptional beer that everyone should try

On tap at the Winking judge. Finally got a chance at this great local hefeweizen on tap. As the pour unfolded, a nice looking hazy yellow-orange with lively effervescence and a nice white cap that lasted. Aromas of citrus, spice, fruit is there but not over pronounced as in some Bavarian weizens. Had a light peppery but smooth mouth feel with all the hefeweizen flavors (banana/spice phenols and wheat malt sweetness) in very good balance. The finish was tart and refreshing. A fine example of what can be accomplished locally if brewing art is appreciated...probably the best hefeweizen in Canada that can stand comparison to the German weizens.

On tap at The bow and arrow, Toronto. Very nice pint that I will have again and again. Pours with a true wheat beer haze, head dissipated very quickly, taste of banana and bubblegum, noticed a slight chemical aroma half way down that I didn't notice before, all in all an excellent beer.

This beer embodied all a great wheat beer should. A tart and sharp taste rife with flavour. A pert aroma, wheat clearly defined. A very nice treat for weizen enthusiasts, certainly deserving of its cult following here around the GTA, and a staple of hometown pride for us beer geeks.
