Dark brown color, slightly cloudy, medium head. A medium bodied “dark wheat beer”. Fairly sweet roasted malts. Mild hops. Very definite banana and clove flavor yet balance a little bit by the dryness of the roasted malts. Nice balance. Good flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is really interesting; it is slightly sweet with a lingering malt finish. Nice refreshing beer.

I picked this up on a business trip to Colorado. I'm glad that I did. Appearance: this pours an opaque reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma. The nose is of sour cherries, surprisingly enough. There's some sweetness in the nose too. I liked the aroma Flavor: Although it lacks the 'crispness' that I enjoy in wheats, this brew has a very enjoyable, slightly sweet flavor.

This is my first dunkel. The fact that is is a wheat is a bonus. The flavor is great. The normal wheat taste is still there, it is just enhanced by the longer roasting.
