A huge thanks to Peter Zien and the Alesmith crew for brewing this beer *especially* for the RBSG 2008. Great complex flavors of coffee, chocolate, with a touch of vanilla. It was truly world class in every way.

I had this at Maui Brewing company in Kahana, Maui, Hawaii. This brewery tries to add a local (Hawaii) slant to their beers. This is a very good porter with toasted coconut added, the coconut shows up in the finish & in the aroma. It's a very good beer

Thanks to slob for hooking me up with this one. Huge coffee aroma and flavor, however, it was overly carbonated, IMO, pouring w/ a huge head. The mouthfeel had a bit too much fizz. Very dry and just simply a big coffee stout. I’m not a big fan of coffee, per se, so this one isnot quite up my alley.

This review is from notes that I have previously taken. Clear copper colored w/ a nose like port and syruppy, brandylike flavors. This one will warm you. A great beer to sip on a winter day

This review is from notes I took a long while back. this beer pours with no head, has an amber color, lots of citrus/pine hops up front and finishes cleanly.
