Comes out of the tap black - not sable, not very very very dark brown, but BLACK, black as Darth Vader’s armor, with a fine-bubbled tan head that leaves generous lacing. Smoky aroma has a strong note of quality roast coffee and hints of chocolate and licorice. Flavor has a roast malt core and notes of quality mocha and molasses with a hint of caramel, fairly sweet but not overly so. Texture is a teeny on the thin side for a porter, but has good fizz and smoothness. Very worthy!

On tap @ Suttree's. Near black pour, tight short tan head, Porter thin, nice lacing. Huge straight black coffee nose and flavor, like a cold black cup o' Joe, then some molasses, near burnt malts, light cocoa, nice little bitter linger. Damn tasty brew!

Pitch black with a moderate beige head. A huge whack of coffee in the nose with some chocolate. The flavor is so much coffee it hurts. Its not a coffee beer flavor this just coffee. I’ve never tasted a beer that is exactly like coffee. After an afternoon of belgians, I need this. Overall brilliant.

An excellant Porter. Black colored beer with a big brown foamy head. There's great hang time on this one. Settles into a medium sized ringlet. Light nose of coffee. More dominate roasted coffee in the tasting. Full bodied, unlike porters I've had in the past. I really enjoyed this one
