The beer pours an alluringly clear copper color, with a short white head and good lacing. The malt boquet is accented by toasty, bready aromas. As you lift your stein in high anticipation, your palate is well rewarded for its patience. The sweetness of the German malts dominate upfront, while the noble pedigree hops allow for a proper dry finish, true to style. Medium-bodied, with the subtle elegance of a well-balanced beer. Clean and crisp, this Marzen Lager can easily become your session beer this fall.

Pours put a orange gold color. The aroma is of light malt and spice. The mouthfeel is thicker than a average larger. The taste is clean and just about a notch above most largers.

A true to the style octoberfest that has a pleasant bready malt presence. A little light on the palate, but the aroma especially is quite nice. if there were just a little more follow through, this could be very good.

This one from @d3atlanta. Light golden pour, adequate head and some lacing. Decent malt and hops presence, a touch better as it warms with some caramel sweetness and more hops noticeable, a touch grassy. Thank you Sam for an Oktoberfest that I have not tried until now.

Beer poured red amber in color. Head was light and did not hold on long. Smelled malty and lightly bready. Taste was lightly malty, with small amount of noble hop presence some caramel, clove and nutty notes. Pretty well rounded and balanced. Mouthfeel was clean with decent medium body.

Bottled@SBWF2008. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, bready notes as well as mild hoppyness. Flavour is quite much the same with some grassy notes in the finish. Rather boring brew...

Poured a hazy orange-copper color with a thin tan head that fades rather quickly. Aromas of caramel but also hay and earth. Smooth mouthfeel, somewhat light and thin. Flavors of caramel and a sweet apple fruitiness accompanied by a quiet bitterness. MUSIC: 'Auf Und Nieder' by Mondschein-Trio

It is a good thing that i went for seconds on this one. The first time I hated it. This time is was rather good. A nice light brown see thru hue with a nice white head. smell slightly malty with some well... corn? great medium body that was not watery at all. flavor was mild but malty and not too sweet with some hop on the back..

What better time for beer than in Autumn. In celebration of the annual German festival, I’ve paired this marzen with a sausage ragu. The lager pours surprising with a deep reddish-bronze color. A lot of bubbles in the glass. A hefty frothy tannish-white head sits on top. Not much hang time, though on the head, settling into a nice lacing. The aroma is subtle but mostly of sweet roasted malts. The flavor, as it warms brings forth the spiciness of the hops. A light, smooth drink went well with the ragu.

12 oz bottle. Pours red orange amber with a large creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is toasted malts and maybe a touch of alcohol.
The flavor is sweet toasted caramel malts and some weird off flavors that increase as it warms (nitrogen?). The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, it's just pretty bland and uninspiring and the off-flavors make it rather unpleasant. -

Amber/copper in color with spotty lacing and nice looking tan cap. Pleasing aroma of sugary malt, bread, and noble hops. Medium bodied and exceptionally creamy. Very smooth, I would love to throw back a handful of these during an Oktoberfest Festival. Flavor is very malty. Sweet and sugary with a nice toasted nutty taste. Minor notes of floral noble hops and dark fruits. So far the best Oktoberfest of this season, I am very impressed by the effort put into crafting this one.
