Ah, a real German Marzen. Too bad it’s a long way from home. The aroma struck me as odd at first. But compared to the New York marzen I had last night, this one is gold. So drinkably sweet. Lots of honey and bready malt flavor. Lightly hopped and smooth going down the hatch. Lots of head and sticky lacing. More please

Slightly hazy amber colour with a golden hue. Warm cap, kind of creamy, decent lasting and some good lacing. Bread malt aromas with caramel notes and some sweet fruitiness (dates, mild raisins). Hints of nuttiness. The taste is not as sweet, but still has some fruits, light caramel and hops in the finish. The blend between the hops and malts is quite nice in the aftertaste, which saves the flavours (as a little too mild). Pretty good for the style.

A recent find at my local LCBO outlet. Always been impressed with Ayinger products in the past. Honey gold in apperance, head is light and bubbly. Lacing is generous down the glass. Sweet grains dominate the nose with light hoppy notes. Flavour is mild sweet cereal grains and a slight bitter hoppy finish. Highly recommended

The beer pours a beautiful shimmering translucent copper colour with a white bubbly head that settles into a film. The aroma was sweet malt, floral hops, and honey notes. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is well balanced between the sweetness of the malt, and the bitterness of the hops. An excellent beer.

Pours out a clear gold color with a massive cream color head. The aroma is all malt. The mouthfeel has some body to it not thin but not thin, the taste is pretty thin for a a stout driver like me. It is whatI would expect for a average ordinary October Feast beer but disappointing for Ayinger product.

Pours a clear, orange-gold amber with a decent white head. Aroma is fairly strong and malty with yeasty and fruity hints. Mouth-filling malty flavor has a slight fruity undertone and just a touch of caramel. Texture is nicely smooth and fairly tingly. Prost!

Pours a crystal clear orange amber with a 4 ginger off white head that takes its time going down. Lots of carbonation, typical of the style. Aroma is very malty and noticeably sweet. Taste is malty and a tad on the dry side. Slightly sweet and dry malt ending. Noticeably metallic as well. Interesting brew but not the best.

Pours a caramel color. Smell is mild, some malts. Taste is also mild for the style, some malts, a bit bland. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a mediocre beer.

Wow... glad I finally got to try this one (a couple of them actually) at Jacob Wirth in Boston. Drawn deep mahagony with a slight head and lacing for days. Bold character in every respect - caramel sweetness to the nose and pallette. Would pair well with good jaegerschnitzel (Wirth's schnitzel was not very good).

pours a nice, slightly hazy medium amber tone yielding a medium frothy, off-white head with decent retention and lacing. The aroma is sweet, malty with notes of spice, some breadiness. The taste is similar to the aroma with some toffee and hints of hops and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and is somewhat creamy with average carbonation.
