This big stout gets aggressive with a boost from Allegro Coffee’s exotic mocha java blend. The coffee’s dark cherry flavors and spicy undertones weave into the rich milky sweet stout like a chocolate-covered espresso bean melting on your tongue. Bitter then sweet. Sweet then bitter. It’s bittersweet. Pours warm sable with a tick and fine-bubbled creamy tan head. Coffee dominates the aroma while sharing the spotlight with roast malt and semi-sweet chocolate. Roast malt and quality coffee battle it out for top note in the flavor, while chocolate and nutty notes happily create the background. Firm body is almost velvety smooth, yet features good fizz. Barely bitter, somewhat sweet, all nitro!

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small creamy tan head that goes to a thin film and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is a bit subdued with lactic chocolate with ashy roast coffee.
The flavor is sweet chocolate, some odd fruitiness and a little black licorice with roast coffee in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit thin.
Overall, it was kind of an odd mix for me. Too sweet with odd fruit and not much coffee. -

Pours out dark reddish brown with a thin head. The aroma is all coffee and cream. The mouthfeel is a little thicker than a black ale. The taste is more cream up front with a big powerful jolt of coffee taste. This is better than any breakfast stout I've drank.
