The Duck-Rabbit Amber Ale is a medium bodied beer with a lovely tawny copper or bronze color. This brew emphasizes malt complexity with layered caramel malt flavors. We put a lot of effort into getting this amber ale just right and we're extremely proud of the result!

Another solid beer from the Duck Rabbit Brewery. Thanks to my neighbor Joey for this beer. It's malty but properly hopped. Dark ruby in color. Very nice beer.

A mahogany colored beer with a big frothy textured light beige head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. But no lacing is left behind. The nose is light. The tasting more intense with a woodsy, earthiness hoppiness dominating and caramel, breadiness lightly adding to the profile. Not much effervescence.

Amber~copper body, bubbly head and good lacing. Tangy and balanced beer. Light bodied with an empty finish. Fruity overall with a hint of floral tartness, toffee and a very mild hop presence.

A gift from my friends at Link Beverages in Coopersburg, PA, that's been hiding in the back of the fridge for quite a while. Despite its age, it opened with a defiant hiss, and poured out a right nice looking deep copper with a foamy khaki colored head that left generous amounts of lacing. Aroma's hard to peg with my current bout of the plague, but I do detect some nice malted fragrance that warrants going with the consensus view of a 7 by my colleagues here. Very tasty malt flavor with virtually no hoppiness, which has probably faded from what it was at an earlier date and time. Would probably be a pretty sessionable amber. I'd drink this again, although it's not available here in Milwaukee. Have to look for it on a return jaunt to PA.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt is dominating. Taste is also dominated by a dry caramel malt base with light lingering sweetness. Subtle toffee notes are also noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. An average session ale at best.

The Duck-Rabbit Amber Ale 2.4 cheapdark One 5 oz sample of a 6 beer sampler at 3 son’s in Wexford, nice place. Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Supposidly by the owner. Looks like ginger ale. Smells like decently good beer, no bad olfactories. No head just a tea froth. Not real bitter on the buds but does have a slight malt bitter impact. I found this beer rather easy to drink, without any rude attributes. Acceptable mild bitter finish. DR amber S5L3F2T509

Aroma on this offering is of malty sweetness as well as roasted malt and caramelization with some burnt overtones. Appearance is a rich and dark burgundy in color with a full head on top that is light-tan to brown in color and is well carbonated leaving fuzzy and rocky lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is light-bodied and damned tasty with tons of caramel malt character and balance that showcases complexity of the style. Flavor is of sweet malt, caramel, toffee, some vanilla, as well as some sweet malt with not much of a hoppy-bitter backbone with an aftertaste that is almost dessert-like with the caramelization and has a finish that is well-rounded and very wet-like with roasted malt character and creamy nuttiness. Overall, I am quite surprised with this brew and it is much, much better than I had predicted; extremely highly recommended here and one of the best AAA-styles I have had to date.

Aroma is very strong and malty, not complex but inviting. Pours a beautiful clear amber-brown with a very thick, although not persistent, head. Flavor is smooth and crisp, with a nice balance of hops and malt, not rich but satisfying. Aftertaste has just a touch of hop bitterness in it. My uncle brought this to me all the way from North Carolina. Bless his heart!

Nice amber coloring with a decent head. Sweet malty aroma with little hops. Good carbonation throughout. Slightly sweet malty taste with a good ale finish.

From the bottle. Poured a clear amber color w/ a quickly disappearing head. Aroma is sweet. Mouthfeel is thin and fizzy. Flavor is average with maltiness upfront and a very slight bitter aftertaste. An okay amber.
