Resinous hop character and bitterness balance the rich carmel malt base. We took it a step further and Amarillo dry-hopped the brew to 45 ibu's, creating refreshing and savory hop flavors and aromas. Is it red IPA? That's your call. Great American Beer Festival 2009 Bronze– merican Red Ale 2007 Silver–American Red Ale World Beer Cup 2008 Gold–American Red Ale

Picked up a 4-pack at the local liquor store that was on clearance. Best before 07/22/15. I figured what the hell. Pours a reddish amber color with light tan head. Juicy, resinous aroma led by malt, caramel and grapefruit. Earthy, dank hops lead the flavors, followed by sweet malt, caramel and a hint of citrus. Drying on the tongue. Thick, almost chewy mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden. Good stuff. Need to find some fresher samples for comparison.

One of three new Green Flash beers available in my area and another hoppy winner. A big, caramel malt base but dominated in aroma and flavor by the pine and grapefruit hops. I would classify this as more of a red IPA than an amber ale.

Rich red pour with a fair amount of carbonation. Medium white head with plenty of foamy white lace on the glass. More hoppiness than I had anticipated Overall an excellent beer. Thank you Noble Hops Tucson, AZ.

A great piney, resinous hop flavor, surprised its only 45 ibu, would have guessed more. Long lasting bitterness that just tastes the way it should. Otherwise a red beer, better than decent in all catagories.

Sampled on draft at Choc. Pours clear dark red with thick creamy head and remarkable lacing. Pine/citrus hop aroma is very pleasant. Strong but not astringent bitter flavor with tasty breast - caramel backbone. Medium-full body. Worth trying!

A red ipa, though listed as an amber, whatever. Made with amarillo hops, which isnt my favorite hops, still i like this a lot. The only thing I dont like is the flavor doesnt last as long as I would wish. Still an impressive ruby red color.

    22oz bottle -

I feel like I've typed "I love Green Flash" hundreds of times. It's like they've tapped into my conscious and they've brewed it exactly how I like it. Balance is the key word with this beer and it expertly showcases both malts and hops in this to a high degree. Caramel and citrus hops fight for the right to be called the dominant aroma, but neither are. The powerful malts and robust hops mingle so incredibly well together, it's incredible. Insanely easy to drink the whole bottle.

2nd sample from this brewery. Liked the double stout better, but this is still solid brew. Medium brown appearance with light red tint. Balanced a bit towards the hops on this one. I'd call it one of those IPA-Red ale hybrids. Smooth mouthfeel with a slight creamy texture. Carbonation in the flavor, maybe from buildup in bottle from distribuation. I would be curious to try this on draft.

A deep amber colored beer A big biff white, foamy head rises above. It settles eventually into a thick film aside the glass and thin ringlet atop the body. More malt than hops in the nose. More citric hop in the tasting. Medium bodied. Refreshing

Comes out of the tap a dark, nearly opaque reddish amber with a thick, fine-bubbled, light tan head. Hoppy aroma has a hint of malt. Flavor is more hoppy than malty, leaning towards an IPA, a bit bitter with subtle notes of caramel and fruit. Firm, smooth texture has some good fizz and life.
