We like to believe that Native Amber is a perfect blend of hops and malt. Caramel and biscuit notes carry the Cascade and Cluster hop additions through to a wonderfully round finish. Native Amber is assertive, yet balanced providing any craft beer fan a local option that has long been absent in Oklahoma City.

Thanks to Hannah for another OK beer! I LOVED this brew! This one was only bitter in aroma. With the aroma, I anticipated bitter but it was citrus that turned to sweet. A flavor "door opening and closing" process that left my palate wondering, "What next?" I also anticipated a pretty color for this red ale and I was not disappointed! Winner brew!

A beautiful Okie beer from the exchange between mwiscount and Hannah! Gorgeous ruddy orange, just a little cloudy, with a great cap on. Rich color for a rich beer. Aroma of floral grapefruit and caramel, quite hoppy. The flavor is a fantastic hop/malt balance juxtaposing bitter and sweet. Very clean and not too heavy. Not difficult to understand why Hannah would choose this: I could happily drink this everyday.

Pours a pretty deep amber color. Smell is both hoppy and malty. Taste is hops up front, some bitterness, malts showing up at the finish. Overall an enjoyable beer.

Pours medium brown with some amber highlights, good clarity and a full, lasting head. The aroma is bold by style combining sweet, doughy malt notes with clean, herbal hopping. Hearty bread, sweet and savory toffee set up a rich wonderful amber and then a generous amount of bittering hops add complexity and nearly balance the beer. Really an amber worth trying. A staple in my beer cellar. Available in 4-packs of 16 oz cans.

Sweet, malty aroma with a hint of citrus goodness. Clear amber pour producing a 1/2" thick light tan head and strands of lacing. Light to medium bodied with a very firm bitterness, and damn drinkable. Juicy citrus and sticky evergreen coupled with multi-grain bread and toffee. Very bitter for an amber and drinks with wonderful ease. Wish I had access to this locally as it would be a mainstay in my house year round. Combining the best of a hoppy pale ale with a rich and malty amber. Kudos to Hannah for sending me a can of this awesome amber.

This is a richly hopped amber ale. A paradox that I enjoyed completely. First impression is of the terrific artwork on the can. Bravo COOP for embracing your roots. The pours reminds me of luxurious maple syrup. An enticing foam cap leaves a thick lacing on the glass after each sip. Taste is of hops, grain and more hops. A little too hoppy for an amber ale, IMHO. A new style, perhaps? A hoppy amber? Sounds great to me!

Sampled on draft at McNellies, OKC. Pours clear amber with a light tan head and nice lacing. Clean, subtle malty aroma. The flavor is biscuit and toffee. Perhaps a pinch of black patent as there is a bit of ash. A good, yet largely typical amber/almost-brown ale.
