Our hoppiest beer! The complex character of American hops and amber colored caramel malts make this beer very crisp and refreshing. 2003 GABF Bronze medal in American-Style Amber/Red Ale category.

A very nice amber color, bit of haze, light amount of head. With the name I was hoping for a hop bomb, even though it says amber on the bottle. Smell was all malty red, light but malty. Flavor is pretty much a red but does have a nice hop presence, not ipa like but still very tasty and certainly makes this more than ur average red. Thanks to kinger for another winner from chief wahoo country.

From trade with kinger: pours a beautiful clear amber with a tight white head and very nice lacing throughout. Aromas of slight sweet malts and big hops. Taste follows the aromas with a very nice malty start then a very good hops bitter. Very good - big thanks Cory.

This beer pours a coppery color with a thick white head. The aroma is fruity and hoppy. The taste is clean with citrus and flower notes. The mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. A very good beer that I could have more than one of.

Pours an appetizing clear coppery-gold with a decent white head. Aroma is fairly strong and quite hoppy with a fruity undertone and hints of malt and yeast. Flavor is mainly hoppy but only a little bit bitter, with hints of apple and a whisper of caramel. Texture is fizzy, smooth, just a bit on the thin side but otherwise quite satisfying.

This was a solid hoppy beer. Thanks again to Max's of Baltimore for this one. I really enjoyed this beer and think anyone that enjoys hops and/or IPAs shoud give this a go.

Poured a cloudy amber color with smallish head good lacing. Aroma was of malts, citrus and floral hops. Flavor was sweet, maltyness, had a bitter finish. Good but nothing standing out.

Light amber colored pour, weak head (in a glass that normally yields good head, and from a style that normally shows it?), weak retention, slight haze. Aroma was light bread and various floral, pine, and citrus hops. Flavor followed suit, nice blend of hop variety, fruity (no caramel detected?) but pretty much hop water with a really thin mouthfeel. Mouthfeel positive was the crisp clean finish. Unimpressive run of the mill amber ale that Joe Bloe can equal in his basement. Boring, but ok for cutting the grass on a summer day (but unfortunately, it's winter and I had no cutting to do).
