About:
I am a college student who enjoys tasting craft beers with his friends. We have made a bi-weekly event out of bringing and swapping different craft beers. I also like touring breweries and learning as much as possible about beer.

    Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 4

The color was pale yellow with a thick white head. The aroma was sour and corny. The initial flavor was sweet and wheaty with an off metal taste on the back. Overall a pretty bad beer even for the money.

2012 batch. This beer pours a dark red with a forceful thick khaki head that hangs around. The aroma is wheaty with some alcohol notes. The mouthfeel is a little thin. The taste is deep and complex red ale with a slight alcohol bite. Overall another pleasing offering from sierra Nevada

  • Portsmouth Black Cat Stout

Got this beer from a Growler. The head wasn't present at all. The color is dark and murky. The aroma is of burnt coffee and chocolate. The taste is simple of coffee and nuts. The mouth feel is creamy and smooth. Overall a decent beer. Not the best or worst of it's type.

  • Saranac Rye IPA
    rated 3.8 11 years ago

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

This beer pours a dark orange color with a thin white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is of pine and wheat. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean with a smooth finish. The flavor is a clean piny note with a bitter orange Peel finish. Overall a good ipa sampling from saranac.

  • Sebago Fryes Leap IPA
    rated 2.8 11 years ago

    Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 4

A darker orange pour without much of a head. A crisp clean citrus note. The mouthfeel was crisp and fizzy. The flavor lacked any complexity and left an overwhelming bitter flavor without any signature citrus finishes inherent to an ipa.
