This was the first beer we ever made and it’s a modern classic. Our Pale Ale is easy to fall in love with, cause what’s not to like? Fruity aroma, balanced bitterness and a citrusy taste. Great along with your favourite American dishes but maybe best alone.

(Bottle conditioned, 500 ml.) ABV is now 6.0%. Hazy deep golden to amber colour, thick creamy head that leaves a nice lacing. Lovely citrussy hops aroma on a background of oak, hay, tobacco and spices. Flavour is grapefruity bitter on a well rounded malty background, hints of spices. Plenty of Cascade hops in the long aftertaste. This is very good! Amazing what the Nøgne Ø enthusiasts of small town Grimstad have achieved in almost no time in the business of brewing quality beers!

Light opaque golden yellow, big lasting, lacing white foam head. Yeast polluting particles in poor. Good bitter hoppy aroma, similar light bitter taste, light citrus tones. Decent beer. Lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201412)

This is a really good ale. Pours with a deep amber color. Big frothy off white head. Good hang time. Settles into a big lacing. The presentation sets the stage. No disappointment here. Nice balance of bready malt and pine hops in the nose. The body is moderate and smooth. The flavors lean more to bittering hops but there is a bready note in the balance.

good decent fresh pale ale. Smells of hops and some pine and some malt. Pours hazy orange with some fizzy head. Medium body with average carbonation and a crisp finish. Flavor was very nice hoppy and and good amount of pine. A kiss of citrus. At times very sweet but finish with a strong malt backbone..

Pours with a clear amber body topped by a meidum thick to thick head with good lacing. The aroma is sweet with note of vanilla and an underlying mint and hop note...interesting. The flavor is sweet and malty with a woody hop nope and a little pine. Nice bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Courtesy of southerncoronas. Pours a murky tea-like light brown with a frothy cream head and massive lacing. Nice carbonation. Aromas of floral grapefruit-hops and malts. Taste is citrus hops (grapefruit), malts and a flowery tang. Bitter in the finish.

Hazy brown, amber or a murky orange color (I don't really know what color this is) with a moderate head that settles to thin patches. Aroma is floral with fruits and some hops. The flavor starts off with some bitter fruity hops with quite a bit (for a Pale Ale) of caramel malts kicking in to balance it off. It finishes slightly bitter but also somewhat. A real solid Pale Ale but for the price I may not re-visit.

This American Pale Ale pours a medium amber/copper color from a 50cl bottle. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is malt, toasty and slightly sweet. There is also a piney hop note in the background. A medium to full bodied APA. Malts are caramel and bready, with a touch of spiciness. Hops are piney and floral. Nice balance. You get a nice mix of malts and hops and them BAM! You get hit with a bunch of spiciness. Mouthfeel is very full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Poured an amber-like color, very generous initial head, excellent retention, solid lacing too. The aroma as caramel, fruity esters, and light grassy hops. The flavor was caramel, fruity, bread, and earthy bitter hops to finish. The hops didn't seem very American to me at all, pretty balanced beer overall.

Bottle: Poured a deep beige color ale with an nice foamy head with better then average retention. Aroma of floral hops is well balance with some bitterness. Taste is mix between some floral hops and a subtle citrus bitter finish. Body is slightly above average with some decent carbonation. I thought this was a bit low in the malt profile department but apart from that it was a good APA.
