Part of 12 can "It's Not Normal" variety pack purchased in Vermont on a trip. Deep golden colour with an amber hue. A white frothy cap, staying a while and leaving a bunch of dirty lacing clouds. Big grassy nose with some mild, sweet, fruity malts in the background. Hints of mint, oats and soap do appear after breathing, to slack off the big, deep green nose. The taste shows raisins mostly, but the hops help cut the richness, and being an APA, all is milder - but still present. A nice West Coast style Pale Ale with the grassiness and raisins for those who like this hoppiness.

On tap at Cardinal’s big Brewers’ Night. Golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruits and citrus. Lovely hops in the flavour too, but the malty base is a tad too sweet for my taste, with the typical American crystal malts / orange marmalade character. Still a fine beer, which I’d be happy to sample again.

Pours a dark golden color with nice white head. The aroma is a bit hoppy with nice pine notes. The taste is typical for the style with a bit of bit as part of the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with nice carbonation.

Pours clear golden with a nice pale buff head. Aroma offers a strong note of evergreen hops supported by fresh malt and tangy Mandarin orange. Flavor beautifully echoes the aroma, ramping up the hop character. Texture features firm body and lively, sassy fizz. Undead!

Bit opaque, orange yellow, off-white lasting, lacing foam head. Quite strong hoopy aroma, some barley, some citrus. Quite strong bitter taste, lasting long in mouth. Again citrus notes, something else - roses? (Munster 201510)

Sampled on draft at Hopleaf Chicago. Pours clear copper with a fl head and nice lace. Aggressive American hop aroma. Citrus and pine. Pleasantly bitter. Same flavor hope as the aroma with a strong hop finish. Lots of late addition hops. Bitterness lingers but not astringent.

Golden pour with a medium white head. Thick amount of lace on the glass. Citrus and grass notes. Hop bite with sweetness in the back. Crisp finish. Excellent beer.

Fairly fresh, only 10 days old. Pours a pale goldish copper color in pint glass with an eggshell hued head which clings to the glass as I consume it. This is a serious hop bomb! I immediately get the aromas of piney hops and citrus (orange, lemon and grapefruit). The taste is similar, hop and citrus, with an astringent bitterness on the finish. IMO, more of an IPA than an APA, but it is a fantastic beer. I'm lucky to live in an area where hops are one of the favored ingredients from local brewmasters. Hoping to find some Daisy Cutter and Brickstone APA in the near future and do a taste test. As with most 3 Floyds brews, this one comes highly recommended.

I was extremely fortunate to stumble across a stockpile of zombie dust at vintage estates in boardman, Ohio. I had sampled this brew a few times via trade but I knew that this time it was extra fresh. Beautiful orange hued pour leads to a pungent release of hops - aromas of juicy fruit gum. Inviting and special with tons of pineapple and lemon. This is just a fantastic use of citra hops and immensely drinkable. Easily one of the best American style pales around at the time of sampling and a must try for IPA fans and citra hop fanatics.

    12oz bottle -

First, thank you to bluesnbarbque for this one (I think it was you bro!). The brightness in this beer was astounding and sooo refreshing. A woody, with great citrus notes, like zesting a fresh Meyer lemon. Moderately high hop flavor, with a clean supporting malt profile but wonderfully hop forward. Finish is clean, hop lingering...a little mouth stripping in the hops which I love. Great beer!
