This single hop pale ale showcases the Citra hop for a well balanced beer that is delicate in body with a mild bitterness in the finish. She roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. pseudoSue’s unique and addictive taste is clean and bright with just enough bite!

Poured out a cloudy golden orange color which a thick white head. The aroma is hoppy and grapefruit smelling. Surprisingly the mouthfeel is quite thick. The taste blasts which hops and citrus but it’s not bitter.

My name is Sue……how do you do? Oh wait, this isn’t Sue, this is Fake Sue! Fortunately, this beer is anything but fake. The beer is nothing special to look at, being a cloudy golden pour topped by a foamy white cap. It’s in the aroma and the flavour that this beer separates from the pack with a huge citrus and pine punch and just enough grain to keep it balanced.

Pours hazy, barely translucent apricot with a nice eggshell head. Hoppy and citrus aroma is more IPA than PA, rather inviting. Bold flavor has a malty core and plenty of resiny hops and citrus tone. Mouthfeel presents good body and firm, persistent fizz. Roaring good in any age.

16 oz can, canned 7/5/16. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a big bubbly white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is bready malts and lots of dank resiny hops with a little fruit, pepper and pine.
The flavor is sweet bready malts and fruit with lots of dank resiny piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, very nice, more like an IPA. -

I had some on tap on a recent trip to the brewery. Review is from a can, canned on 3/22/2016. Pours a golden, amber color with a foamy white head that leave some nice spidery lacing on the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, lime and pine. Taste follows the aromas but with the addition of some grassy notes and resin, which is usually reserved for Imperial PA's. Carbonation is on point. Lingering dry, bitter finish. I've had several other TG beers last year and pseudoSue lives up to the hype. I'm glad they have expanded their operation (contracting out of Florida in addition to Decorah) and hopefully this beer will be able to reach a larger audience without sacrificing quality.

Pours a very cloudy pale amber with no finger to think of. Very light carbonation. Aroma is out of this world with hints of sweet malts, pine and very sweet fruity hops. Taste is very piney with hints of fruity/sweet hops. Finishes off slightly dry. This is one to look for. Christ, has to be one of the best of the style I have ever had.

Wow, waiting a long time to try TG and well worth tue wait. This was a $6 bomber and far better than nearly everything else on the shelf! Amazed at how alive with hop aroma and flavor this is, just wonderful from start to finish.

REVIEW Style: India Pale Ale ABV:5.8% Purchased at: Red’s Alehouse, North Liberty, IA on tap. Pour: Orangish pour, nice medium-sized head, tons of lacing. Aroma: All citra hop aroma. The smell is amazing. Flavor: More citra hop, grapefruit, lemon, and orange mixed with a bit of pine. Wonderful! Ratebeer.com rating: 98/100 Beeradvocate.com rating: 95/100 Overall: A My recommendation: You don’t necessarily have to wait for the bottles to arrive, (hopefully 2 months?), bars and restaurants around Cedar Rapids and Iowa City continually have TG brews on tap, or make the trip to Decorah and get it as fresh as you can. These guys are the real deal!
