We've been itching to get this one in the tank for a while and now that we have some new toys, a bunch of new hops and the ability to do whatever the f*@k we want, we're rolling out the Daisy Cutter. It will lean in more of a west coast aromatic Pale Ale direction with less on the bittering end. We're packing it full of the dank hops, and we have big hopes for this PA.

The flagship beer for the Half Acre brewery. Quite clear for a pale ale, medium gold in colour with some rocky islands for a head. Lots of citrusy hops and pine in the aroma with a hint of caramel and bread. Well balanced flavours with the caramel leading into a piney hop finish.

Found this at Zanies in Rosemont. Dark golden yellow pour with a medium white head. Plenty of lace left on the glass. Aroma is citrus, pine and hoppy. Malt flavor with a hop presence in the background. Perfect beer for warm day. Will have again.

Pours a dark golden color. smell is hoppy, some citrus. Taste is hops, bitter, a bit of citrus, somewhat IPA like. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.

this is a pale that is half way to an ipa, but still has the refreshing lightness associated with the pale ale style. great floral and citrus bouquette, easy drinking, and flavorful. still balanced even though it's hop heavy for a pale. intense hop flavor and aroma without a ton of bitterness. One of the better in-style IMHO.

The 4th place finisher in a recent APA testing held by a friend who's an BJCP member. This beer had enough of it all.........a nice copper colour with a good white cap, a hoppy aroma with a decent malt backbone, decent body, and well-balanced flavour with a solid bitter finish. My second favourite of the night.

Thanks to kinger for sending me this should-be wish list item; been wanting to try it just not on the "official" wish list. Paired with grilled garlic and herb chicken, yellow rice, garden salad. Light copper amber pour with a medium white head that dissipates leaving some spotty lacing. Big grapefruit and light pine hops in the aroma with a bit of malts to balance. Taste is big for an APA: nice grapefruit hops with a citrus and near-heaviness expected from an IPA but still great for this APA, slightly sweet, some malts, touch of pine, a nice bitter linger. Excellent for the style, paired nicely with our dinner. Big thanks to Cory for sending it my way.

Top tier American Pale Ale, picked some up while in Chicago and now I wish I had grabbed more. 16 ounce can chock full of fresh hops and medium bodied pale malt. It doesn't get much better than this for the style, damn good everyday beer.

Been wanting to try this one for a while and had the chance earlier this week at Reggie's Music Joint in Chicago. Pours a golden amber color with a one finger fluffy head which leaves a ton of lacing. Wow! This thing smells of sweet citrus and pine. Not sure if it really should be categorized as a PA, thinking more like an IPA. Lemon, grapefruit, fresh pine cones on the tongue, with a pleasant malty finish. It is somewhat reminiscent of Three Floyds Alpha King, which is a good thing. What a night drinking this and Surly Furious, while seeing my favorite band. It doesn't get much better than this, a music and beer assault on the senses. A must try, especially for hopheads.
