Pours a nice clear amber with an average white head that leaves some good lacing. Aroma has a malty core with grassy, caramel and fruity hints. Malty flavor includes a bit of hops, a bit of apple and pear, and a bit of caramel - nice, if nothing to Tweet about. Smooth texture has good fizz and decent body. Better as a party drink, or to go with a meal.

Presentation: This is one of six beers from an eighteen pack labeled Beer of America, Historical Collection. The 18 pack also came with a nice book titled, The History of Beer in America. It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a mug. There appears to be no freshness date on the bottle. Appearance: It has a fast fading, light fluffy head. It is bright white in color and full of big soapy bubbles. There is only some slick spotty lace here and there but not all that much to speak of really. The body is light golden honey colored and very clear. It has lots of visible in the beer and some big bubbles that stick to the inside of the glass. Smell: The aroma has a touch of leafy hops with some lemony citrus as well. Also there are notes of sweet bready malt and dry pale grain. Taste/Palate: The flavor has light grain, sweet white bread and some fruity orange marmalade notes as well as some sweet honey and buttery tones. There is very little bitterness and just a hint of citrus hop flavor. The finish is more of an acidic hop flavor vs. citrus hop bitterness. The texture is very smooth with a medium body and mellow carbonation. Notes: This was an ok beer but it was still very similar to the other beers in this mixed pack. One other thing to note is that of all the beers in this pack the Berkshire Springs Stock Ale was the only one that said it was brewed in Rochester NY by MDII. Overall the best part of this 18 pack is the book that came with it.

This is the third of the ‘Beers of America’ from Minhas. A golden orange-yellow colored ale, as I’ve come to expect from the Amber Ales. Not much of a head, though. Foamy, small, disappearing almost as quickly as I poured. There is a lumpy film over the beer. The aroma is mildly weak malt. The body os light with a crisp carbonation. The taste, is floral and citrusy hops. Not the best Amber Ale I’ve tried but no where near the worse I’m certain there is out there.

Poured a opaque amber with a sweet malty nose. There was a good sized frothy head and moderate lacing on the glass. The taste was of sweet malt with a hint of hops and just a hint of alcohol. The mouthfee was average and neither added or detracted from the ale.

The aroma is malty and seltzer-like with some sweetness coming through with maybe some very faint caramel or perhaps fruitiness present. The appearance is a light amber to bronze in color with a decent head on top if poured vigorously enough that is bubbly and off-white in color and remains leaving pretty good lacing. The mouthfeel is light-bodied and smooth but not very complex at all with only decent balance with a watery pallet that does not coat all that well. The flavor is malty with some sweetness but is lacking with maybe some slight caramel or fruity notes with an aftertaste that is at least smooth and pretty refreshing but watery and weak with a finish that offers some sweetness but again is lacking and is wet-like. Overall, this is pretty boring stuff and is lacking in so many areas but at least it is unoffensive and is very weak. However, I guess this would be something different for a long time swiller; boring and weak stuff here.

Pours with an orange-gold body topped by a thin head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet slightly sour with some malt notes and a slight mustiness. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with an underlying bitterness, slight musty notes and a slight sourness. Medium bodied and dry.
