12oz bottle from Total Wine (Scottsdale, AZ) at a forgotten price. Clear amber pour, average white head. Caramel aroma, malty sweetness in the flavour, and a sweetish finish. Decent body. Easy drinking.

Cloudy light reddish orange with a minimal tan head. Light sweet citrus and floral notes, hay. Crisp upfront bitterness that quickly fades into a sweeter body then re-emerges in the finish. Slightly watery, light body. Medium finish. High amount of acidity and fair amount of acidity. Well balanced.

Better than your average yellow beer but unlike other revue rivers opinions. I didn't find it to be bitter or hoppy. Pretty thin in as far as I like to dink motor oil but good for a thirsty beer drinker.

Pours a dark caramel color. Smell is on the malty side. Taste is caramel malts up front, hop bitterness kicking in ay the finish. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Only thing right about the brewers review is the earthy and grainy flavor. If this was my first Bells I would have a hard time trying another.Oh well they can't all be Hopslams.

Got a 4-flight sampler at "Brewgers" in Vero Beach (hamburger place with decent varieties on tap). Only 4 oz. samples of each, so may have to try again in the bottle. Not one of my favorites from Bell. Pretty average, standard amber. I liked their Brown Ale better. Based on this, in no hurry to buy a 6-pack...but will probably sample a single down the road to give another chance.

wish list cross-off from pfoxyjohn. unfortunately, i was a little underwhelmed by this one. not expecting greatness, but hoping for a favorite or near favorite for the style. pours a murky amber with a nice looking head. flavor is mostly malt, as is the flavor, and just wasn't complex, bright, or hoppy enough to do much for me. not bad, but i've had much better in the style. 1st disappointment from Kalamazoo.

Very nice amber copper color showing some orange hues. Substantial off white head that hung around for a bit and left a solid amount of lacing. Clear body. Attractive caramel malt pulling its way to the front of the nose. I'm also detecting a bit of a peach smell. Seems to be a bit more fruity in the hops department than most Ambers I have encountered. Nice and well balanced in the nose. Malty at first in the taste, but gives way to the fruit kick. A nice stab of the alcohol comes in at the end and brings a bit of the warmth and toastiness. Seems to me to be a little thin on the mouthfeel, but it does finish rather dry and crisp. Coats the throat and tongue delicately. This, all-in-all, is not a bad little brew. Nice bit of warmth at the end. The beer looks great and is very enticing. I'm glad I gave it a try. It's a brew that I wouldn't have a bit of trouble quaffing for an evening.

Bottle; Pours a hazed orangey-copper color with a 2 finger sticky cap. Aroma has some roast, some toffee over citrus-floral hopping. Average mouthfeel and body. Flavor profile is pretty much like it’s aroma. Front is roasty-toffee malting balanced with grapefruity resinous bittering, moderate drying finish ends mildly bitter. I’ve always maintained that so-called "amber ale" is a catch all style for brewers to throw their own innovative signature into it. This one, although not bad or cheap in any way, disappoints if for nothing more than its ordinaryness. I expected more from this brewer. On the upside the ale is tasty, balanced, properly conditioned and made for sessioning.

Nice clear copper amber pour with a medium white head and sporadic lacing. Aromas of sweet and slightly toasted malts, caramel and toffee, earthy hops. Taste is initially slightly sweet with slight caramel then a touch of hops bite.
