A prettu strauight forward bock. Nice golden color. Big frothy textured white head. Good hang time on the head. Nice lacing left behind. The nose is light, but the overall profile is of grassy hops and lighter cramel hops. Medium bodied and tasty.

Pours a very active pale yellow with a huge head. Fruit is obvious in the aroma. Very crisp and clean with a very nice finish. Overall quite enjoyable.

Very strong example of hard-to-find style. My first spring bocks becon me back to when I lived in Germany...eagerly did we await St Joseph's Day when my town tapped the first kegs.... Although I prefer a little maltier armoa, Boisterous is most true to this style. Good appearance and color. Could use a little more head firmness and retention.... Good balance of maltiness and body without an overpowering sensation of alcohol. Nice sweetness and fullness. YES--would have another...and another...and, if my wife would let me, another....

Nice golden color with amber / orange hues. The head was initially great, later turned to a ring. The lacing, though, was perfect. Aroma was of grass and honey. I thought, oh boy, another boring Helles Bock. However, the flavor had a ton going on, more than just honey and grass. Caramel flavors were present underneath everything with fruity flavors over the top: apples, even grapes. Some light sweet dough (pastry or cookie) flavors also present. Mouthfeel was dead on. Great malt/hop balance, not too cloying, alcohol dead on.

Light amber in color, the head was on the small side. While unimpressive in the appearance, it was a surprise after that with a crisp orange flower aroma and a refreshing citrus flavor. There’s a light bitter finish that helps make this an excellent maibock.

Sort of a disappointment to me. Pours with a golden color, thin white head, not much of a nose. In many respects this shows some real similarity to mass produced lager. It is, however, lighter, slightly sweeter, and fresher tasting. Not a disastorously bad beer, but a let down coming from these guys.

Had this on tap at the Victory brewpub...virtually no head...had a nice fruity, complex taste but really was ruined by the alcohol "mediciny" taste that really was overbearing. I think this is a common Victory downfall...alcohol taste way too prominent in a lot of their brews...at least on tap at the brewery. Not nearly as good as the St. Victorious doppelbock.

I only tried a sample of this beer today, but it was pretty nice. Gold color. Fruity sweet with a good bitterness in the finish. Very easy to drink. I'll have to try more of this and re-rate.

Tap @ brewery. Clear light gold color with a mild butterscotch taste. Sharp, hoppy bitterness with a sweet, sticky candy finish.

Man, this is excellent. Poured from the growler a bright golden amber with a thick sticky off white head. Aroma is fruity like apples and peaches, with a very sweet malt aroma as well. Flavor starts off strongly malty, very juicy, with nutty and more apple flavors. Finish is very lighltly hopped, with a slight spiciness and a great smoothness. A great beer that I wish was bottled and distributed around these parts. This is definitely worth going out of your way to get.
